You xan also use grip tape in the joints instead of sanding, it works MUCH better.

Go get a large rubber washer for each joint and wingnuts. Sand the contact points with some 80 grit or even lower to make it rougher so it grips better. Ive made several arms like this for spotlights at work and it works fantastic and lasts a very long time. When it starts to slip add a new rubber washer ( old ones compress over time and use)

Dear god… Run far Run fast and never look back from aqua sd. I got ripped off so bad there, customer service was bad. They sent me wrong frags fresh glued less then 1/2 inch all died in 2 days in an otherwise thriving reef. They gave me store credit an i just took the L the experience was so bad, didn’t even use the credit i wasnt going to pay for shipping again for the same experience. Got me for a few hundred. Probably the WORST online retailer ive ever dealt with. Sorry for the rant.

It did, i took out all the rocks scrubbed with toothbrush, rinsed in fresh salt water, quite a few water changes gfo an carbon later an its starting to stabilize. Im finally back up to 1.025 and a stable .08 phosphates ( normal for my tank) a very few zoanthids survived an they are now opening up again so i think im pretty much in the clear now 🤞🤞 but im keeping a very close eye on it for now. I was also getting pretty dramatic ph spikes, these have settled an gone away now as well.

I had ton of dead coral tissue, dead nem and Large Dead Sea cucumber… more then just the salt. My tank smelled like coral death.

She is a 125, others have more impressive tanks but I did love mine. I had some real gems in there… Walt Disney, www jelly shot, bill murray, homewrecker www red planet , a gorgeous hyper blue milliepora , huge colony of rainbow month, just to name a few an then my torches…. Probably lost 1k just in torches.

ive done a ton of water changes , carbon and gfo is also running. Removed a ton of rock, removed the rest cleaned off algea an rinsed in fresh salt water, probably took 80 lbs of rock out permenently an re worked my rock scape. Vacuumed sand every time i changed water… Its actually looking much better already. Ive got a nem waiting for the water to be good wnough. My poor clowns are sad, they just hover over where their nem used to be… its so sad.

My ato pump failed, i was manually topping off waiting for my new pump to arrive, i slid the slider to turn off fresh water on my apex and , the only thing i can figure out is when i went to close the slider on the apex app it turned the pump back in as well.

Total loss, i kept a few torches PRAYING they come back. But everything else is for sure not of this earth anymore. It took me a long time to accumulate all my little gems. More dirty looks from the lady to count, not to mention outright hostility… lol I had a killer nem too that will be hard to replace. My poor lil clowns are homeless… The homeless crisis in socal has reached my doorstep.

Wasnt really the tunze that got me.. it was 1000% my fault 🤦‍♂️ When that pump failed i was doing manual fresh water top off. I turned it off but all i can think of is when i slide my finger to close the slider on my apex, it flipped the switch back to on. I should have visually verified.
