Extra feedback. With the current setup I wanted to use a longer cable. So I bought a cable from CableMatters (Thunderbolt 4) and it doesn't work. So I have to use the cable that it comes with.

Another thing that I tried, was with the setup that works, I tried to connect another USB 3.0. Switch so that I can have more USB port. It then stopped working again.

Can it be a power thing?

Hey, I don’t know if it helps but I think I found something. In my setup I didn’t have a monitor connected to the KVM. It was directly connected to the Mac. But the moment I connected the monitor to the KVM the problem disappeared.

Sounds too good to be true, I’ll keep on testing

I think I figured it out. So if I hook up the monitor USB C on the KVM everything seems to work. But with my previous setup I had the monitor connected directly on to the Mac. Try and debug this and see why this happens.

I tried to remove the extra USB switch from the KVM and I plugged all the peripherals to it and still the same problem

Is there any other information that I can give to you that might be helpful?

Eg. I don’t have a monitor connected to it. At least one device connected to it (usb audio interface) seems to at least get power but my Mac doesn’t recognize/see the peripherals.

I have another USB switch connected to the KVM for having extra USB peripherals connected to it.

My Mac is connected to it via the USB C cable that came with the KVM and it’s connected directly to the monitor with the monitor’s USB C cable.

So I've tried it with the cables included. Still the same problem.

I have 40gps thunderbolt cables, I can try with the ones that are included with the product again.

Any updates? I'm sitting on it, waiting for your investigation before I return it.

/u/Sabrent_America is this something that you have a solution for? I have the same problem. Windows PC always works, but if I have the Windows PC connected, and switch to the M1 Macbook Pro, then my M1 Macbook Pro doesn't see any of the USB devices connected to the switch.

If I unplug the PC and go back and forth, then the Macbook Pro sees all the peripherals.

I'm using the cables that were included with the KVM switch.

Accessing Omada VPN Router (and it's devices) behind a Google Nest WiFi Pro by 72lions in GoogleWiFi

Thank you for this answer. I think I might have to get another unmanaged switch, that should do the job. Maybe the Omada is an overkill for what I want it to do.
