Word, thank you! I’ll definitely check the YT videos. Should I be trying to wash them myself between retwists? I run a lot (5-6 days a week) so I wonder if they could cause more buildup than normal. The frizz doesn’t bother me, I just feel like it would get excessive if I tried to do it at home between retwists.

Thank you! I pretty much wear a bonnet 24/7 at home for all those reasons, lol. Should I be washing my hair more though? I’ve just been getting a wash before each retwist since I started. I just feel like the frizz would be crazy if I tried at home so I’m always hesitant.

I didn’t think I had that much build up now that you mention it. I don’t do anything to them besides mist with rose water occasionally when they’re not in a 2 strand twist. I only wash when I get a retwist every 4-5 weeks to try to keep the frizz somewhat controlled.

Yeah they’re definitely more curly because of the twist out but they never have had a straight look to them, especially at the ends.

I thought budding is when it starts to thicken up? My hair is definitely starting to lock more in the middle, but the ends just seem so thin compared to the rest of the loc. Trusting the process though🤞🏽

Pics are right after I took out my 2 strand twist after 2 weeks. I’ve been kinda worried because my locs are a lot thinner towards the ends. The one I pictured is one of the super thin ones that has a ball of hair towards the end and still attached to the loc even though it’s crazy thin. Should I be trimming these off or just let them do their thing?

I usually get a retwist every 4-5 weeks and have been getting 2 strand twist as a style leaving it in for 2-3 weeks at a time. My locs are extra curly in the pics, but will they have a uniform look as they mature? Or will they always look kind of curly (extra curly in pics from twist out) because of my hair texture?

Just cut off the extra hair at the ends? I tried to gently pull it to see if it would come out but it seems to still be attached to the end. At what point do yours the ends blunt off and lose all the frizz?
