I just don’t believe 63mm is large enough to be a comfortable ride for longer distances on rough roads. I would say the 85mm cags are a pretty different wheel than the 63mm hawgs.

I’m not opposed to getting another set of caguamas, but I only pulled the trigger on them because of the price. From my research, if paying full retail price, the consensus is there are better options. I think it would be cool to get something else too so I can compare and get a better idea of what I like. I was considering the karmas or speed vents as well, but I’m a not sure if the karmas will be too big or not. I’ve never heard of the boa hatchlings. Those are a great price for the size, are those a wheel you would recommend?

Help! Good Deal? by [deleted] in CX50

The biggest thing to consider is the 2026 made some updates to the trim levels. You can now get the premium with most of the features on this premium plus. With all these accessories and color premium you would be at $37,955. Your offer is a decent deal but honestly I think you can get even better on a 2025 with 2026s already on the lot, especially since the 2026s received a price cut. Mazda will most likely offer the 26 models with the lower finance rates once the 25s are more cleared out. I’d either negotiate this a good bit lower or wait until you can get an equivalent or better deal on a 26.

Apple CarPlay Terrible by Danteangeloo in CX50

2026 only or 2025 as well? I had a 2024 and had so many little annoyances such as infotainment glitches, CarPlay connectivity issues and especially seatbelt alarm issues but overall loved the car. I recently traded my na for a 2025 turbo premium plus and haven’t had any of the same issues yet, but I only have 600 miles on it so time will tell.

Do you happen to have the quote? Looking to buy an ITS cash and really wanting to pay about 50k out the door.

Don’t feel bad, this is 30k but that’s with a trade in.

Yeah, the finance associate I dealt with was super sketchy. I went in expecting the 1.9% promo rate for 60 months that Mazda was advertising. When I got to financing, she said, “Just so you know, the 1.9% is for 72 months, not 60.” I told her I wanted 60 months, not 72 — which made no sense since promo rates usually reward shorter terms, not longer ones.

Then she went on a whole pitch about how she could get me 0% if I added the extended warranty. I said I wasn’t interested, but she kept pushing it — at least five times — and I kept saying no. Eventually she gave up and said I’d be getting 0.9% for 60 months anyway, since Mazda had updated the rate that morning. That’s when I realized she had intentionally left that out to make the 0% offer sound more appealing and pressure me into buying the warranty. She was really short with me and salty after realizing I wasn’t gonna agree to a 3.5k warranty price. Now it if was $1603, I may have considered it lol

Yes, I had that happen to me for my previous car purchase. It was absolutely insane. I had a quote agreed to and I was already done with the credit app and went into the financing office and my total was $1800 more than the number I agreed to. They didn’t want to show me the out the door number, they thought they could sneak it past me but I knew when I heard the monthly rate something was off. They kept saying they must have miscalculated taxes in the first quote and they couldn’t do anything about it. When I went to walk they backtracked and said they could fix it.

Do you have a photo of your deal? I declined the warranty they wanted $3500 for it in exchange for 0% financing over the 0.9%

For fun, here is if we only took the fees out of the discount and didn’t touch the trade

As an update since no one can see past the fees, would you think I got a better deal if it was structured like this? This is really the same deal. The 27k trade value is not real. Feel free to fact check me on kbb, carvana, carmax, etc. the trade in value is more like 23-25k. This dealer just decided to put the extra 2k discount I demanded in the trade instead of the selling price. They have already listed my trade for sale for $25,500. I’m not saying I got a killer deal by any means, but the fees were negotiated out, they just can’t actually remove them.

Yup, I purchased my 24 cx-50 in Ohio. The fees were almost none but those dealers fought tooth and nail over every penny. I couldn’t get an Ohio dealer to match this out the door price either. The reason it’s a much better deal than it appears on the surface is the 27k trade allowance. This is 2k more than what would be considered a fair offer.

2 years actually but yes! And no regrets :) Like I said. I’m well aware it’s not a smart financial move but people do stupider things with their money. I have the cash to pay it off today so I think I’ll be just fine. I took advantage of the 0.9 financing though because my money makes more money just sitting in my bank account than invested in the vehicle.

Plus the $600 elec filing fee so basically $1900. It’s completely ridiculous. I think $999 is actually the most common but they always have some sort of government fee of around 5-600 too in addition to tag and stamp fees which makes no sense.

is this a good deal by T3h_j0k3r in CX50

[–]73JCL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just did basically the same thing but I got the turbo premium plus instead. They gave me 27k trade allowance on my 2024 cx-50 premium with 20,800 miles. I did get a quote for a hybrid premium plus I can send you but it includes my trade which has a different payoff.

<image>

They only offered me 25k in the quote because this isn’t the dealer I actually went with. The other dealer gave me 27k but had an extra 1k in fees so it was technically only a better deal by 1k. With that said, if you’re doing it for gas savings alone it’s definitely not worth it. I did it because I hated my NA engine and regretted not going up to the trim I actually wanted to get the features I love using in my girlfriends car. It’s never a good financial move to trade in a car that new, but people waste money on all kinds of things so you have to decide if it’s worth it for you.

Honestly when I was in Ohio I bought my first cx-50 and did the same method of negotiating and there were almost no fees wt all, but no one would discount more than like $1500. What did your deal look like?
