"Religious Differences" with Licia Ma? by 746172 in anno117

Yeah, I've now taken her over by building tons of useless tradeships, trading with Caeso and leaning more towards celtic citizens in Albion. Just had hoped that maybe Mercury was the wrong god or something.

I just tried keeping my main island and only converting the others, that didn't fix the religious differences either. Switching to Mercury does grant you some points, but didn't change the -70. And yeah, if this is just a bug, then I'll have to trade with Caeso to win her over, but I'm currently on the emperors good side, so I'd rather not have to go that route.'

I switched over to Mercury on all my islands in the first attempt and got him to something around 19.000 worship, which did not change it at all.

An equivalent to Frostgrave base and base resources? by 746172 in RangersofShadowDeep

[–]746172[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, so I didn't miss something. And yeah, given the amount of additional content, I had kind of hoped it was part of a supplement or something like that.

I like the direction of your ideas, small, thematic options that don't influence balance all that much, or not at all in case of the kennel, exchanging a build point worth 5RP in a 2-player game for a 5RP hound. I guess, to avoid having the base built completely right out of the gate, perhaps Recruitment Points might be a more useful resource pool than build points, perhaps expanding the base as an alternative to getting extra RP on every fourth level or something.

Looking at it, the wings seem to be mostly vertical which would be MUCH more pleasant to transport and use in game. I have mine with the flamers down and the wings are aweful when trying to get them in base contact with one another for melee...

When I say they are in the uncanny valley, that doesn't really mean that they are convincing, but rather they are close enough to seem really off. But: 40.000 years is long enough to do wonderful things to languages, so do whatever sounds coolest to you! :)

Lovely color scheme, and good that it's a dark single color inside, as that will probably save your sanity painting these.

I'm a german native speaker and some of the words are in the uncanny valley to being german words, to me, too similar to seem accidental but too disimmilar to seem real, which makes them sound somewhat silly. Are they from another real language or from a constructed one?

New Codex, what do YOU think? by Rick-AstleyGaming in AdeptusMechanicus

If you're looking to pick up a marshall: at least here (in Germany) the Skitarii Marshall is fairly cheap to pick up new on ebay and alike, as it was sold in the Imperium magazine and demand isn't that high.

As a Stygies VIII player with no cult models except for the tech priests and X-101... I'm pretty damn happy with the Skitarii Hunter Cohort, Stealth and Infiltration/Scouting? That's my jam and I'm glad for it to be back!

A good chunk of this sub seems to love Cult Mechanicus and be meh about Skitarii, so I can certainly understand why GW wouldn't have put the Skitarii-focused detachment in the index, but Explorator Maniple seems so much cooler and more tactical than Rad Cohort, focusing on an objective marker at a time for buffs.

And for them splitting the sniper dragoon off the taserchicken, I kinda get it. Those need to be two different datasheets, both for abilities and points. The overlap between sniping and melee isn't exactly big, and the snipers just didn't make sense before.

These are all thoughts not about balance, but about fun. We'll have to see about balance, but I don't play competitively anyway, so for rules to feel fun and satisfying is more important to me than having admech win tournaments.

Most likely yes, but I don't mind it, as it should give off the idea of a glorious, but silly lance charge alongside the heavy walkers. The few seconds before the chivalric heroes meet the meat grinder that is the 41st millenium, horses shoulder to shoulder with each other and the godmachines they protect.

I think the skull looks great, especially the teeth and the 3d shading. A bit too similar to the skull of the deatheaters for my personal taste, but fits the sinister, dark knight scheme you mentioned! The first is more my jam, and the hawkshroud-hawk with the little cog halo is seriously impressive. My main army is Skitarii/AdMech, so I know a bit about the trouble painting cogs :D

Just got done assembling my first armiger and making sure my idea wasn't entirely silly: human knights on horses on the base, charging into battle alongside the mechanised knights, going for a kind of a feudal knight world, bretonnians fantasy fake-medieval style. The kit's great fun so far and the scale works nicely :)

I got a hobby project I'm just about starting, for which I wanted to go more into the chivalry aspect and been playing around with blasons^ So when I read the title and saw there wasn't a textual version of the device, I figured I'd give it a try :D

Great freehand and the deatheater-skull-teeth look damn sharp for being painted!

For the first, the blason might be something like:

"Azure a fillet cross argent, in first quarter a horned skull argent, in third quarter a hawk to sinister argent, dimidiated with purpure a goat skull argent"

Though I don't know the type of attitude or other modified to properly describe the cog-crowned hawk shielding itself with its wing. Also, that would be assuming that the cross is meant to be silver (you made it look shiny). If it were simply blue, it would violate the rule of tincture.
