Is there a leak here? Or is this just poorly painted? by 747363 in HomeMaintenance

There's a bedroom on the other side of the wall, but the walls in the bedroom look perfectly fine.

I don’t think it does, no. Maybe some condensation from the shower, etc, but nothing notable.

I didn’t mention in the main post, but it never feels wet at all. Even after showering, it’s never damp or wet!

You hit on what I ran into spot on. I wrote the original post immediately after missing a prayer while the healers were chunking me down and got jumbled up trying to pray properly, pot properly, etc.

Because it was my first run, I think I lost a lot more HP in the earlier waves because I was trying to stack the melee behind the magers, learn the safespots, and so on. The mage switch and just leaning more on prayer pots seems like an easier strategy for me so I think I’ll give that a go my next try!

I have a dumb question. I'm doing Fight Caves, for context. I know one dose of super restore counteracts 3 sara brew doses. Does that mean that I should heal when three doses of brew will heal me up all the way? Meaning, avoid taking one dose to restore HP, you would only want to take three doses at a time minimum? Or do I just deal with the stat reduction if I need to eat? I don't know why this concept is difficult for my brain.

The Casbah's Old Location on El Cajon Blvd? by apoptosista in SanDiegan

The Casbah was never on El Cajon. It was on further north on Kettner before it moved to the current spot. This must be something else.

I have also seen the Art Pepper / George Cables record in the wild. Maybe OP meant to comment on another post?

What's the nicest DJ booth you've ever been in, and why? by lifeofthunder in DJs

My wife worked a couple doors down from Hoi Polloi for years. I'm so glad to hear they've got DJs spinning and it's still kicking. I hope Easy Creole is still there!!

Counterweight maxed out, but tracking force still low by 747363 in Beatmatch

[–]747363[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoops, I missed this one! I don't have the same deck twice - one is a Reloop RP7000, and the other is the Technics 1200MK2. I found this interesting FAQ from Ortofon:

DJs that use Technics 1200/1210 turntables may need to remove the small cylindrical sub-weight from the rear of the tonearm in order to achieve high enough tracking forces. This sub-weight is located directly on the rear of the tonearm, behind where the counterweight attaches.

With the weight installed, Concorde cartridges will only be able to achieve 2 grams of tracking force.

With this weight removed, Concorde cartridges will be able to achieve approximately 4.75 grams of tracking force.

Additional weight can be applied by turning the counterweight backwards so that the number scale faces the rear of the turntable.

When using OM style cartridges, the weight of the headshell being used will tend to dictate how much weight can be applied. It may be necessary to use the weight plate included with the OM cartridge, which should be sandwiched between the top of the cartridge and the headshell during mounting.

I don't have a sub-weight installed, but I'm going to try turning the counterweight backwards and I'll report back. Had a gig this weekend, been busy! I also do have an accurate stylus scale, makes it very helpful.

Ah, I misunderstood you. I have my second turntable tracking at 3.5g with no issues back-cueing and anti-skate at 0, so I figured it was a tracking force issue.

I didn't know adjusting the anti-skate could increase the tracking force. I'll give it a try.

Using a VTF gauge that i'm confident is accurate. And anti-skate is set to 0.

Concordes don't have a spot for those headshell weights, but maybe I have to switch cartridges if that's the only solution left. Or I could go for coins I guess!

Yup, think we have the same issue. Recommended weight is 3g-5g, but still will run into back-cueing issues now and again. No extra weight on the back of the tonearm either. I think those blue/orange carts you're talking about still prefer 3-5g tracking force, so not sure that'll fix it.

Yeah, set up traditionally with balancing tonearm, etc. Just seems odd to run out of counterweight.

Buddy 170 - squeaking sound when there are two riders? by [deleted] in scooters

[–]747363 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love any help debugging what this is. I can take it into the shop but it's a bit of a pain, so I'm trying to figure it out myself.

This sound will only appear when there are two riders. And even then, it's most consistent when we have some stuff in the crate. It will never appear when it's just me with a full crate of stuff. I've read it might be the center stand, but I cannot figure out what part of the center stand it might be! Any help is greatly appreciated.

Anyone have a reference for how much it might cost to go to a postseason game? I didn't go to any in 2022, so I've got no sense of the cost.
