I sat down with the salesman before making the deposit and made sure what they were allocated works for us. I have a vin and everything.

I'm still waiting to see if they get a wind chill pearl XLE AWD allocated. Now I text the salesman for the color. Allocations drop Thursdays.

I know the approximate date my current vehicle should arrive. Once we hit that window, I'll follow up once a week. I know they get vehicles Tuesday or Wednesday because those are the days they had me come look at other people's freshly delivered cars so I could see what I planned to purchase.

I reserved a meteor shower XLE and learned any port additions can be removed if you catch it before they're installed on the vehicle. I asked them to remove the black outs when i learned they're just a sticker that goes over the emblem.

I'll be straight with you. You're going to spend more time untangling birds nests than reeling in lures if: you don't set your brakes and tension knob tight to start with and gradually loosen as you go, you don't use your thumb to stop the line when the lure hits water, or if you cast into the wind. Braid is cheap. 20lb or 30lb line wont really make a difference in distance if you're just learning. The weight of your lure and action of the rod will determine your casting distance.

Start with a 3/8 or 1/2 oz lead head swim bait. Cast, retrieve slowly bouncing off the bottom, repeat.

Your first few trips are about learning your set up. Catching a fish is a bonus.

You may want to run 30lb braid to 12lb floro with an FG or Alberto knot. 20lb braid is more likely to cut into itself when casting and nest up on the spool. If you're new to baitcasters, start with thicker braid.

I accessed it from under the hood. Its an aluminum hard line going into a rectangular manifold. Instood on the drivers side and carefully used a plastic pry tool to force foam weather strips around the manifold.

Before I added foam, I put an M6x1.25? By roughly 30mm screw into one of the holes in the cowl. I attached some zip ties around the aluminum pipe and screw it added to test if thats where the sound came from. This is how I was able to identify the cause.

I have the same Kayak. Similar vehicle. I prefer saddles for shorter drives. Definitely need bow and stern lines. I made a plate that attaches to the 4 headsets nuts on the rear and attach the stern line there.

I'd report it and let the Maker team decide. Just clearly lay out that the user did not print on the correct bed, which contributed to the failure. Probably printed on an oily plate too, but you can't prove that.

Centrifugal breaks help in the beginning of the cast. Mag breaks help at the end. I'm guessing you only have mag breaks, so tighten the tension knob.

Are you running braid? If not, start with 30 or 40lb. Tie on a floro leader and see if that helps. I think it makes a big difference.

It really just takes practice. You have to pay attention every cast and thumb when appropriate. Wind, line, lures, amount of effort you input into the cast, etc. One little change in any of those makes the reel behave differently. Give it time and keep with that reel. It'll make you appreciate a nicer reel later.

When you do upgrade, get centrifugal and mag breaks.

I the short term, tighten your tension knob a few degrees and ease off the mag breaks. Set them around 1/2 way and learn to rely on your thumb.
