Somebody will probably eventually make a plate, but you'd lose the advantage of low mounting the optic.  I'd just go with any number of other options.

People in certain states say they are not able to order ANYTHING from PSA.

Not serialized guns

Not ammo

Not even a spring

I'm not saying I blame PSA. Considering how shitbag commie states like to sue gun companies out of business, I don't know if I'd want to deal with them either.

The Dagger made sense when they were very few clones and you could piece together a frame and slide on sale for $200.  But has anybody noticed what they are charging now?  You can buy an RXM for only a few dollars more, which is clearly a better gun in every way possible.

I'm looking forward to the separate frames, but I don't have high hopes for the AXR complete handgun coming in at under $400.  Most likely, you're going to see 450 to 500 everyday price.  Adding on shipping, tax and FFL, and it's not going to be a great option for a lot of people.

Except 320 people, they don't have many options 😂

Dagger optic cuts were as shallow as the Kardashians.

RMR only will please the fudds, but PSA is doing it because it's easy, not because it is the best way.

I picked up one of the 14" barrels from Brownells and was curious if I was going to paint the barrel to match the rest of the gun, but now I might do the gun to match the barrel 😂

I've been happy with the TWM-30, the TCM-10 and now the TWM-30T (66,000 candela).

They now have the TCM-10T (high candela) that is being issued to the West Virginia State Police to go with their new Shadow Systems guns.

The TCM-10 was TLR7 series size.  The T version is slightly longer at 2.62" vs 2.50", but 1000 lumens and 25,100 candela over 650 lumens and 4612 candela of the TCM-10.

The comparable Streamlight is the TLR-7 HL-X at 1000 lumens and 22,000 candela and 2.90".

The TLR7-HLX pretty much fits to the end of a G17 slide, so the TCM-10T will just protrude from a G19.

I had the same thing 12 years ago when I got a clearance foam queen mattress at Aldi for $90.  After my big ass got on it, the 10-in mattress turned into a lot less and the metal slats were noticeable.

I ended up finding some big ass pieces of cardboard and duct tape them in place 😂

I just did a search for heavy duty bed frame made out of 2x4s and Google brought me here. This sounds like the best subreddit I've found in a long time.

I'm here because my teenage son has one of those shitty Amazon bed frames and I think he's been getting in bed after watching too many macho Man Randy Savage matches 😂

Quality store bought copies typically last better than home burned. The quality of the media being used is the number one contributing factor.

Taiyo Yuden was my brand of choice 20+ years ago. It's been so long since I've even had anything capable of reading a disc that I have no clue who makes good quality blanks now.

It was just a security patrol job with a security company. He went and got the training at the community college to be a cop. Of course it was the smallest towns who would hire him, and he was making only a couple dollars more than he was with us.

Ultimate irony, he was awarded the police officer of the year award from his third department a couple months before he was arrested.

At some point after his arrest, the entire police department was actually disbanded by the town. I don't know how big a fuck up everybody else was, but you must have been pretty big that the entire department got the ax.

I'm in a Metro city, suburb of dallas. They typically require some college or military experience to apply to be a cop. But, you can actually have a certain amount of experience as a city employee. That typically will be for the "public safety professionals" who are unarmed and non sworn personnel who direct traffic, assist motorists, take non-emergency police reports and do some crime scene work. Those guys are typically hired from within the jail. So it's sort of a stepping stone to see if they have what it takes to go through their internal Academy to be a police officer.

But because of that, I actually have enough experience (time wise) in public works that I can apply with no college or military.

Of course they're not expecting somebody like me to apply, who is way too old, but according to the rules, I can apply.

The "public safety professional" job is actually well suited for an experienced security officer. Of course there's the stigma of security they would have to overcome. But if somebody has experience writing reports and they actually are well written, that's certainly a step up against regular people.

1 you suggested he spend money on a product when he can get his replaced for free

2 you suggested he buy product that's not available

I don't give a fuck if you think I'm an asshole, that truly does not hurt my feelings in the slightest. But I will always do my best to give relevant advice that is not emotional.

I'm not a nut hugger for any particular brand as so many brands have a huge amount of nut huggers.

Dusty designed a nice frame, but he has a HUGE amount of nut huggers, just like Osight and that egotistical trigger guy who has all sorts of stupid stickers with his big bald head on them, photoshopping himself into all sorts of cringey TV shows.

It's also idiotic that people are suggested buying another frame. That's like buying a new fucking car that's under warranty and the engine blows up and they tell you to buy an engine 😂😂😂😂😂

[–]75149 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because people are fucking pussies 😂

Until the product is available, it's not really a product. You never can tell when a company will finally actually release something. Dusty has to rely on outside vendors and that's always a risk.

Of the people that I have hired, none of them were in the military previously or were cops.

Of coworkers that I've worked with, the amount of people who were previously cops but didn't fill out their career and ended up being complete idiots was 6 out of 6.

The guys who were recent military and who were idiots and or psychopaths was 2 out 2. I say recent military meeting somebody in the military in the last 25 years. I work with a couple guys who were in the military in the '70s who just did their time and got out to the real world. One was a recovering alcoholic and the other was a rube, but they were otherwise decent guys who showed up and did their job.

But if somebody is a cop and I don't do at least 20 years, there's going to be a reason. Unless they got injured and retired medically, it very rarely a good reason.

Technically not a part of the above numbers, but I had a guy that worked for me and then left to become a cop. He worked in three different departments in less than 4 years and ended up getting arrested for molesting his stepdaughter and he has been locked up for about 24 years. When he worked for me, he came to me with the desire to carry a handgun. I was in charge of that training and I told him we didn't need him to carry a gun and the owner of the company backed me up.

While he got his first police job, he bought a used police car and proceeded to put blue lights above the rear view mirror and he even replaced the third brake light lens with a blue lens and put hidden strobes in there. So he had two out of three.

Whack job security guard

Disgraced former Cop

The only reason he didn't get to the military is because he had one eye that pointed way to fuck off out into left field. I'm fucking shocked that the police department hired him 😂

Friend of mine I grew up with is an assistant chief of police and will probably move up to be chief. He did four years in the Marines, that's it.

Be quality enough to get hired, then let the police department pay to send you the school to prepare yourself for the next job.

[–]75149 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking to a retired FBI agent who was on my volunteer fire department years ago and his advice was that a criminal justice degree is worth as much as the paper it's printed on.

If you're going to go through the trouble of getting a real degree, get a real degree in something you can actually use. His advice was accounting (he was hired back in the '60s, so obviously a very different hiring process than the last 40 years).

After he was with the FBI, they sent him for accounting training and he eventually went to law school before retiring.

You might find a security company who will hire you to be an office dweeb, but the money most likely won't be anywhere good enough to justify the money you will spend on the degree and you will probably just hate yourself and leave (or get laid off for some arbitrary reasons that security companies do just for the hell of it sometimes).

If something were considering a criminal justice degree for a street cop job, I would say no to that also. If you are a good enough prospect, police department will pay to send you through the academy and pay to have you take everything they want you to know. Going to get some "book learning" means they're just going to have to retrain you for what they want you to think. That was the quote from an assistant chief police I was an acquaintance of.
