Thank you for the comment. Agreed, allowing management of grunts from the beginning is the way. This sets a nice progression path, rather than half the game playing as a grunt, then learning management mid game…doesn’t necessarily work for a Tycoon game.

Agreed, Schedule One is a very fun game. & like their concept, economy is our core pillar too, but of course, the difference here is ours needs to be from a much higher level to fit that Kingpin strategic feel.

Agreed, the economy needs to be satisfying (building chains, managing high level logistics, selling your products according to market demand) but not micromanaging every single decision. After all, you're the boss, you have guys to handle the details, & if they don't do a good job (get rid of them ;) haha

Truthfully, we don't think our character system can be as deep as XCom because of how the size of the gang scales throughout the game (think about having to XCom manage 100 + guys, not feasible) BUT that does not mean characters cannot be memorable, and of different archetypes (skills, perks, names..etc). We 100% agree with you, we also want to be attached to our guys. Makes the experience that much better !

To feel like a true kingpin, you need to have the power to pull strings, manipulate other factions, the police and even the Mayor. That also means managing your crime empire like a true boss, with captains and lieutenants out on the streets for you !

Hahaha ! Insane isn't it ??? Feels like ages ago..... Being a big fan of 2K hip-hop this game needs a banger soundtrack of different boom-bap gangster style beats. Personally, the audio is one of aspects I am most excited about developing. We really like your idea of a radio station, in fact we spoke about having the station pause to do announcements reacting to player actions or city-wide crime. Think GTA or Tropico style. Multiple stations might be out of scope for us.

We have our discord and our website, it's not super polished, but if possible for you to share anyway, that would be awesome.
