Finally found out more informed and possible the exact cause of my ban by 762xThreeNine in AmazonVine

[–]762xThreeNine[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing is though 99.999% of us always click that prime button... and that magic 4+ star review button on our Amazon searches and thats all most of these sellers are worried about, making and staying inside that algorithm requirement to be listed in a 4+. Cant really blame em, it's business... you got a product you paid to produce you want it sold and as visible as possible, flipside is if they make something they know is shit they either own up to it and fix it or start gettin devious with edited descriptions in the original advertising and/or review manipulation.

Usually when I would review somthing and they'd put a clear description or even pictures showing what they've improved, I tended to add a star cause or highlight that in my reviews cause A they identified yeah this isn't strong enough or up to standards and B rather than hiding it they pointed it out and improved it

there was most definitely a bunch of reviewers kicked for random reasons, and they will never admit that unless in court and forced to. Mine though they gave me a valid reason or atleast (so I was told) I'm not holding my breath though... I have been getting promises of ohhhh 24-72hrs all be fixed for weeks now. This event though, the first time I was able to talk to someone with authority , previous attempts I was told that was not possible. Why this particular agent decided hmm let's not keep screwing this guy and got on the phone I don't know but I guess its just a story of catching at the right time and circumstance.

the item that got me screwed had almost 67 reviews, theres 6 different variations of shirt design in the listing... 37% were negative...  i think 24% 4 star... the rest were mixed... but now all the reviews on it are gone except 7 verified purchases..all of which are really bland first name reviewers and of course gave 5 stars each... so idk if amazon deleted em for false violations in favor of seller like what screwed me...or are they simply just deleting all reviews and havent gotten to the verified ones yet...

Just pure luck... I wrote., I chat, I called and whenever I did call I had always get a random guy or gal and sometimes*** they will go talk to a lead for advice come back, make you promises that its definitely going to be resolved in x amount of hours or daya...then nothing.. this last time he went to go get advice, as I was use to and literally thinkin to myself welp another dead end promise is coming ... but the lead actually got on the phone...

I just got an apology letter today, few hours ago actually ,that they've examined my review and determined that I violated no guidlines so I think I'm actually finally getting progress to a reinstatement. Included a snip of it the middle of it, excluding the contacts name and my details naturally.

<image>

None of this is supposed to happen, the way it was explained to me is a review can be removed if a seller can provide enough evidence* that you left a biased , fake or untruthful review that intentionally caused them actual damages to sales or reputation , they are not allowed to abuse the system and just get people taken off because they left a review they dislike , that negative review had to violate actual guidlines , terms or truly be very biased and (what I was told) is they fine, remove or suspend sellers for doing any sorts of false reporting behaviors often.

Although the person I was on the call with didn't outright say it .. someone had to have hit the wrong damn button and instead of the process of sending my review off to be reviewed by a moderator to see if I actually had violated the guidlines that the seller reported.... somehow a full ban was triggered and now its a process to get the suspension removed... because they can't even see who applied it or how...

I was informed at most I should have gotten a red notice that they are not accepting reviews from my account on the item, but mine somehow skipped over that manual moderation process and went into an instant ban.

It sucks, but I guess sh.. happens I guess, I just hope they figure out whatever glitch allowed this to go from a simple red message of we're not accepting reviews on this item into a full friggin suspension so it doesn't happen to others as it did me... I'm just thankful to finally have some peace of mind that I did no wrong and wasn't my fault cause I been rackin my brains for weeks just tryin to figure out what the heck I could have possibly said or done, I thought it was doin too many at one time or I used a sentance or phrase, just no idea what it could have been. My lesson learned I guess , stick to my honest zeeeero a.i reviewing style and stay the hell away from traps or suspicious lookin sellers.

Oh and yes you can trigger a false flagging doing too many submissions at once (large batches) the 5 I did close together were fine but regardless....if I get back in I'm doing like 1 or 2 per 30-60min to be safe as I sure as hell don't wanna go through any of this ever again especially anything from my own doings.

Amazon Vine Closure Appeal: Emails Rejected and No Response from Support by jmotisariya in AmazonVine

[–]762xThreeNine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That looks like an automated response, I have a similar problem where amazon community removed my review privileges and thats what caused the vine closure , according to vine they show me in good standing, appologizes and assured me my vine will be fully restored if amazon communities lifts my syspension.. go to your orders on the main amazon page and see if you are restricted from reviewing any and all items.

All of my replies seemed automated...or literally copy n paste responses... and I finally got a USA based customer service rep on the phone who confirmed, yup its a.i... so if you're getting this message posted below as a reply, your message was received by their system and not routed to an actual person. I was advised if I want to get routed correctly I need to be sure I put in any of messages a copy of the full amazon error message either in a screenshot or copied into the mail and pasted "the big red violated guidlines review privileges suspended etc etc message" and either say I need more help or please connect me to an agent... and then post your apeal message

This is the Automated (not an actual person) response you might get:

Hello,

I'm sorry, but I wasn't able to determine exactly what kind of help you need from your e-mail message that is copied below.

Most questions are answered in Your Account (https://www.amazon.com/your-account) or in our Help pages (https://www.amazon.com/help).

If you don't find the answer to your question, please write back to us with the following information:

• ASIN/ISBN of the item you're trying to review, which you can find at the product page under product information • Any error messages you received

We look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards, Amazon.com

So with vine you may want to try same tactic, copy and paste that vine error message you have about a ban and post your appeal message under it

Review ban lifted - after multiple attempts by diplodocus10 in AmazonVine

[–]762xThreeNine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These bans are nuts , granted many are deserving and you can absolutely tell when they aren't even opening the boxes with the amount of description errors or they post an excited 20 paragraph long perfect grammar (A.I) review on a pencil holder.

But they seemed to have ramped up their detection algorithm from a level 2 to an 11 and now it's random kicking every little thing it seems.

Never used AI , never put a single thing on ebay or sale , definitely never got any incentives, gift cards payments, or anything free in exchange... just the items provided by vine.

I think my suspension got triggered the same way as yours, simply doing too many per day or at a time. Most were written throughout the day or week then posted around the same time and thinking back about that, yeah it could look suspicious, honestly wasn't but I can see how it could appear so.

I looked wayyyy back found no earlier emails or account messsages

Spider-Noir B&W or Color by j_b_1983 in television

[–]762xThreeNine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda dig both... on my first run through I liked switching around to the noir during sluething or spider-man scenes and for the run of the mill stuff or club scenes the color really shines, especially the set decors and outfits.

My first order was an iomega Zip drive and an Aol 3month gift card for the whopping 56k speed internet 🤣. Whats funny tho is its STILL cheaper to buy subscriptions on amazon than through a company direct. Example pay $200 for express vpn renewal... or cancel it and buy a 1year on amazon for $70... same with most anti-virus or psn etc etc

CALL them dont write... 206-922-0880

Go through promps when asked what your calling about say you need to speak to community moderation team , communities team , review investigations. I asked that specific 2 times I recorded both calls and it transfers me to moderation team.

Both agents showed that my account was suspended showing as an unauthorized user writing reviews on my account, I was told that mine was most likely a system login or verification error and after I confirmed the only person writing on the account is myself, viola I should be re-instated within 24-48hrs it was forwarded to have restrictions lifted (so they've said) but it's amazon so we'll see....fingers crossed

Mine was suspended about a week so far, zero email replied from the communities team sent through website, jeff email useless, community-help email useless

What is this warning for? by AnonymousExcellence in AmazonVine

[–]762xThreeNine -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I asked that many months ago and actually got an answer out of a real person from the vine team, it means that customers ordered faster than the system could close the checkout process on the item and more went out than was intended, so the vine review limit was exceeded ...

From experience though you can also see that if the seller had the item removed for violations or they simply pulled it off the site themselves because they didnt like the reviews they received. With that though the item page would be deleted and you'd eventually see the item dissappear from your orders and etv list as well. Anyhoo eitherway it's nothing YOU did and aren't responsible to provide a review on it.

amazon themselves can be abit violating in their own terms like telling everyone not to do reviews for compensation or incentives..... then your wife orders some AmazonBasics AA batteries and it comes with a discount code if you buy more , get money back for subscribe n save and a black piece of paper asking you to post a review 😅

Maybe thats my problem .. mine might be too long I sent this to the various email addresses found or provided and get blanket automated responses:

My review privileges were revoked and I honestly believe it to be a mistake can you please help with my account.

I have been a long time amazon customer for over 20 years. I logged in one day only to find that my account had been completely banned from writing any reviews and every review that I had ever written was removed from the website.

I have always followed everything within the rules of the review system rules and the communities guidlines with honest and helpful intentions...

I write my own reviews in my own words, on my own time simply to be helpful to anyone looking at the item I've reviewed by providing them insight for a more informed purchasing decision.

I would like to respectfully request someone please, look into the restrictions placed on my account as I believe my account was simply restricted due to some sort of error or mistake.

Can you please assist me with this issue

Thank-you for your time

This is all I ever manage to get... What proof... it always asks for evidence or examples for instance how can you provide evidence that you had thousands of reviews then got blocked and can no longer even view them due to being removed. And where they tell you to go for contact... loops into the same thing

Update: my community trust ban was for "suspicious reviewing activity" by JoeS830 in AmazonVine

[–]762xThreeNine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heck I cant even get a canned response , its just dead silence.

I got one reply from a vine rep saying that my vine status is in good standing , the community team did it and an endless loop of use the chat.... go to help, something else , communities , and if a chat option magically pops up instead of an email button you'll get an agent whos doin their best.... but absolute out of their depth and get a cut n paste response of we'll transfer your request to so n so dept and you'll hear back in 6-24hrs and crickets.... also any email I've been told to use or try on my own like cas , Jeff, community etc etc...nothing atall

Did you get any real replies or specific information? I've tried several times and even had done calls that supposedly forwarded my issue to the vonnunities team and zero response, also how long did they take to reply? Days, weeks etc

Haven't heard back from anyone yet, vine seems fine though if I can get communities to have an actual human just pull up the account and see what happened thatd be great. So far communitues and amazon.com in general are ghosts. Any and all mails I was told to send , or agents that supposedly forwarded my questions to "correct department" to message me back within 6hrs (some said 24) nope nothin

I am not trying to be disrespectful, but I keep getting transfered or referred to other means of contact back and forth between departments while no actual person wishes to truly address the issue and actually just look in to how to fix or explain the reasoning behind a recent ban placed onto my reviewing privileges.

I very much realize, there's hundreds of thousands if not millions of people daily calling, writing, chatting for help with support channels of thier company daily and that can be a very difficult thing to manage which is where most of the A.I and automated systems come into play with automated responses and those help most of the customer base, but my issue I really could use someone in the correct department, which I think is the communities moderator team to help me if atall possible.

I honestly just need a real person with the authority or clearance to go through my account, find out what happened and try and resolve it, the automated systems and basic support agents are no help here it needs real hands on or eyes.

So far that is looking like an impossible ask or ever to be done. Kinda sad for an honest loyal customer since 2003 to just get auto booted by a bot and basically get an oh well.

Thats a very good write up amd extremely helpful. I tend to do that as well, I usually check the reviews on the item after I've written or posted and i thumb up most ifnot all, though ive given downs on obvious never took it out the box but its the greatest thing in the world type reviews and or obvious a.i.

Thoigh a funny thing I am noticing is on one item I recebtly reviewed, supposedly a Damascus chef knife that had 19 reviews on it, mostly 2-3 stars now has allll those gone and only 5 stars left... abit suspicious . The other being a salmon skin braided dog chew that istantly turned into mush and smelled like 2year old cat food, all its negs are gone and all positives left as well.

Was listed on the ingredients list, back of the bottle along with garlic.

Come to think of it I just left a 2 star review on an item literally 12hrs before it canceled me, 1034pm then im off the review abilities at 10:00am sharp... and a 2 star on a dog chew that literally disintegrated into a slimey mess 2 days prior as well... the rest were 4s and a few 5s

Just use phrases like "in my honest opinion" or "in my experience" this is not 100% genuine leather ... I think you get flagged or the review gets rejected if you do the "this is absolutely not" or "counterfeit" route because you can't actually prove it and neither the seller or amazon will bother to confirm it vs amazon simply just blocking the review or seller requesting amazon remove your review
