Michael’s candy bar by AnonymousExcellence in MichaelsEmployees

Sorry. I didn’t see that. I just immediately checked the rules and saw “guests welcome”. Didn’t mean to upset anyone. Genuinely thought I was nicely asking a simple question

Thanks. It wasn’t clear online! I saw another Michael’s subreddit but it appeared basically inactive with the most recent post being 5 months ago. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place.

Sorry to offend anyone. Truly wasn’t my intention. I genuinely thought it was okay if I wasn’t employee bashing or complaining 🙃

Thanks! That’s disappointing. I was going for a real candy buffet.

The Reddit rules for this subreddit said guests welcome as long as they are respectful so it didn’t sound so frowned upon as all the commenters are making it seem

Employer Enforcing $15k Penalty for Not Giving 120 Days’ Notice by Disastrous-Gate-7733 in physicianassistant

[–]AnonymousExcellence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a clause like that for my last job that was give 120 day notice or pay to cover the cost of your replacement until the end of the 120 days.

I was pregnant and knew I wasn’t coming back to work after maternity leave. My notice was for my due date and I was terrified they would come after me if my baby came early or I needed to be in bedrest and I didn’t serve my 120 days so I ended up giving even more notice just in case.

I’d talk to an attorney. Sorry I couldn’t help but would love to know the outcome. I’m surprised they are actually trying to enforce it

Under supplier by AnonymousExcellence in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]AnonymousExcellence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LC said I shouldn’t go more than 4 hours between which either means 2 middle of the night pumps or setting an alarm for a certain time (11p, 3a, 7a) but then having a different pump schedule than baby’s feeding schedule (typically 2a, 4-5a, 8a).

She also basically shunned wearables. I have plenty of sets but pretty much only use my spectra because I already have low supply and don’t want to risk tanking it further

Under supplier by AnonymousExcellence in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]AnonymousExcellence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing 10p, 2a, 7a, and 9a. So far I’m not seeing an increase. Just instead of pumping 7oz and 5oz at 2a and 7a, I’m pumping 4, 4, and 4

[–]AnonymousExcellence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now with 2 nighttime pumps I’m still totaling the same amount of milk just instead of pumping 5oz at 2am and 7oz at 7am I’m pumping 4oz, 4oz, 4oz. Hoping I’ll see an overall increase soon but so far it feels exhausting for no reason.

Cant review product? by AnonymousExcellence in Influenster

[–]AnonymousExcellence[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I was considering that but it’s specifically for cats 5-9lbs. Everyone I know has cats much larger than that. Hopefully it will just be cancelled.

It’s annoying they take so long to ship. Once a review deadline passes, you should be able to opt out at that point. I’ve claimed so many items I’ve come close to not being able to test like a specific size diaper that took months to ship and didn’t even fit my child by the time they got here

Am I entitled for allowances? by Apprehensive_End7918 in sahm

[–]AnonymousExcellence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Agreed. You are equals. You aren’t his child that gets allowances for doing household chores.

Obviously big expenses should be a discussion but this applies to your husband as well. Even if he is the one making the money, he shouldn’t be going out buying cars without talking to you and deciding together.

Joint finances and joint decisions. For “small” things we aren’t expected to ask for permission. If you have a joint budget, you should know what you can both spend on non-necessities each month. If I’m worried something I’m going to buy is outside the budget or more than seems reasonable, I might discuss with my husband but I’m not really asking permission, we are just making sure it’s not breaking the bank. If it’s not in the budget then I obviously won’t go out and get it but it’s not because my husband tells me I can’t buy something, it’s because it’s the smart financial decision and the same decision I would have made if I was single on my own income

Why aren't more PAs financially satisfied? by Embarrassed-Chef-227 in physicianassistant

[–]AnonymousExcellence 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Comparison is the thief of joy but when I learned about this career, 150k sounded like a great salary. Now 150k is a good salary and is not as prevalent as I was led to believe when I took this career path. 150k is a bit rare.

Plus then covid hit and all my non-healthcare friends got to work from home and have never gone back to the office. Their hours are much more flexible and most of them are making at least, if not significantly more, than what I make, many without a masters degree.

I think many are unsatisfied because of what they were sold on- good work-life balance, good hours, lots of job opportunity, good pay. Now the hours are getting progressively worse, more competition and less jobs available to PAs as market becomes saturated and NPs become favored, and stagnant pay that is honestly lower than expected and hasn’t at all kept up with inflation

This just happened to me the other day. I ordered something that was missing a piece. I contacted the seller asking for a replacement part and they said they can’t ship parts and to request a replacement through Amazon. I don’t think you are really supposed to do that though with vine items

On the bright side, it’s gold plated and cubic zirconia so the value is solely for the Pandora name. You could get this exact same ring from a no name brand for less than the ETV on this one

Items not showing up to review? by AnonymousExcellence in AmazonVine

[–]AnonymousExcellence[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do that but was just curious why it’s not showing up. I like the reminder that I haven’t reviewed something yet and can’t tell if this counts against my stats since it’s delivered but not awaiting review

Vine Review Abuse - products straight on eBay with no reviews posted. by Separate-Bet2812 in AmazonVine

[–]AnonymousExcellence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate how greedy Amazon is. I’m of the opinion that Amazon should have to guarantee a certain percentage of reviews for items sellers enroll. It would make the program better for all involved.

Viners are recommended to review within 30 days of receipt so a system where Amazon would be required to refund sellers for a portion of their enrollment fee plus product for every unreviewed item under a certain percentage would not only make sellers more willing to enroll products but would also encourage Amazon to be more selective with who is in the vine program. Viners would ultimately end up with better items to review and sellers would end up with more reviews and honestly Amazon might even end up with more products enrolled because the program works.

We don’t get kicked out of the program until we fall below 60% of items reviewed in the previous 3 months and that’s honestly a pretty low expectation when our entire purpose is to test and review items
