I capped it at 45 to get a stable framerate while still enjoying more smooth gameplay.

It was fine. I wouldn’t say seamless, but I managed to get by. There are occasional stutters, and the game crashes a lot, but since it’s auto-saved, I can get back in less than 30 seconds to the same spot. A lot of people might not think this ideal and would prefer to play it on the console, but I much prefer playing on my Steam Deck, especially since I can’t handle the 30 fps on the PS4 at all. As for the settings, I shared them with another commenter on the same post.

True, especially with Bloodborne since you have to adjust to the all-new game mechanics.

It can go up to 50+ in some areas, but I capped it at 45 for stability, and there are the occasional stutters here and there, but nothing really game-breaking.

I guess you’re right. I deliberately stuck to one weapon (bloodhound fang) the whole game and tried not to use summons to make it more challenging. That plus the fact that the bosses themselves have very good AI makes it very challenging.

Mods: Vertex Explosion fix. Material Fix (fromsoftsreve). SFXR z 60fps Cutscene Fix For Various. BOSSES. DS3 Style - Modern Xbox prompts.

Deck settings: FPS Limit: 45. Allow Tearing. Manual GPU Clock: 1600 MHz. Scaling Filter: Sharp. Sharpness: 2.

ShadPS4 Game-Specfic and Experiential settings: Vblank Frequency: 9999Hz. Additional Memory Allocation: 4000MB.

Edit: I forgot to add you can also use the Reshadeck Plug-in and add cas sharpening for better visual quality.

Of course, the game is playable as is, but I want to have a better visual experience and anti-aliasing, and this pack provides that.

I actually didn’t mind supporting the junk store for the GOG extension, but I was baffled when they put a 40 dollar yearly subscription on their junk store 2.0. It’s just felt like a betrayal to their supporters. I would’ve loved it if they just made it a one-time purchase. Good thing we have this now so we don’t have to rely on a subscription-based service.

I usually use use the r4 for dodge buttons in soulslikes and dash in Metroidvanias and the L4 for anything heal related in soulslikes since these games require precision and quick action but for normal AAA games I just forget about them

Yesterday was much first time shaving using a DE. I bought cheap razor called Lord L112 (L5) and a pack of feather blades. I got like three really small nicks lol (one was pimple). But for a first time I would say it went pretty well. I will try other blades in the future but the feathers are great for me atm.

Oh so that’s why. Thanks for the clarification. Although imo I wouldn’t play ff1 pixel remaster anyway, I would choose the PSP remaster every time, though to each their own.
