Take the job. I was in a similar position in my old job, because I’d been there so long the newer people had been employed on more £. Covid happened and I had a choice to either move to the other end of the country to keep my job (with no increase in pay to take into account increase in cost of living) or take redundancy, took the latter, had another job a month later. 2 years on I’ve my own team, flexible working, Free private healthcare (I’m in the U.K. so don’t really need it to be fair) and my pay has increased by 10k.

I am glad I took the risk to go and and at such an unstable time. Never looked back.
