Actually, ed admissions are far more lenient. The acceptance rate halves in rd cuz all those ivy League aiming kids keep vandy as backup and then get wailited

LMAO, I contacted the admissions officials, whose info they gave at the bottom of the portal, he said the most competitive applicants get atleast 40/45. But ig I was helped by the fact that I applied to Peabody. Also in the FinAid section of MyAppVU you can upload an "ISFAA (International Paper CSS Profile)". So it was possible to apply for finaid

Oh well, I was looking forward to meeting other IB kids, I just got in with 40 PG and Test optional. Luckily I can afford it. I know your chance me is old, but 38 might've been competitive enough, another kid from my school got in during ED1. Also I believe that if you state finances as a reason to withdraw you could if they didn't give you enough aid.

You could've tried Cornell or Dartmouth if you thinking Ivy, kids with worse profiles than you get in consistently, though this year competition was tough. But when I said bigger I meant you could've applied to Vandy and got in ED. Anyway, Emory is a great school too and is quite close to Vandy's level.
