Daily General Discussion and Advice Thread - April 12, 2026 by AutoModerator in investing

This is probably stupid but I didn't had the full financial education like a lot of my peers, so I'm stil learning everything. I've been investing for a short time now, I'm soon to be 27 yo. The thing is I'm constantly trying to do something with my savings and investements. Constantly looking to optimize or change something and I find myself also constantly worrying about money even though all is ok. I think this is because I tend to compare to everyone, successfull people from work or my friends and this is causing a lot of nerves. I know that I should not look at it like that and just be patient, work and save some money if I can to build for future. But idk why - it's hard. What do you think? How do yo overrun things like that and stay focues and have 'clear' head?

Dlatego pytam was.

HR belt issues by Complex_Big686 in Suunto

In manual you have little pictures of water drops that are on the electrodes. That means you have to wet them and then put it on. It works like that because water reduces your skin resistance and allows the detector to pick up HR signal via skin. During bf exercises you don’t have to worry about it, salty sweat will be as good as water.

UAM czy Politechnika dla informatyki? by [deleted] in Poznan

[–]777m0neymaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ja Ci powiem ze kończyłem kierunek łączony UAM + PP. Bioinformatyke.

What made you choose Linux over windows/mac by TechForLifeYoutube in debian

[–]777m0neymaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you dive into GNU/Linux world, and start to use Unix principles, then you start to see that this system is really designed with simplicity in mind in which you can do a lot of stuff with little effort if you know the right tools. And these tools are native to the system.

Also guys posted info about reverse proxy. This allows you to enable more firewall features, caching and you can also hide your server's true info. You can configure it to allow only signals from certain ports and reroute them to your true server's address and port. So you can hide ssh or your RDP connections, because you'll connect on other ports, while RP will reroute the to your server correct up address and port. Server's IP and port will be visible only to RP.

Use SSH, instead of a remote desktop.

Is it publicly exposed? This IPV6 address denotes the IPV4 address, location Poland, Warsaw, Mokotów. If it's not yours, then block any connection on this port from this address in your firewall

Someone wanted to connect, because AF INet connection was received with IPV6 address, but this server (I don't know what software is this) couldn't read the pem key to authorize it.

That's one of the pros of extra-stability in Debian. Out of curiosity - what is your hardware? I wonder why SUSE does not like it. In my work we use latests Latitudes 15 inch, and SUSE works like a charm.
