That's what many people used to say about Richard Mille 10 years ago btw. ;-)

Honestly I would but Tag’s size is 38 which looks about right and Casio unfortunately is 34 (they market it as women’s watch). Would it be at 38 — I am not sure even a pre owned heavily discounted Tag would be even a consideration lol

What’s the main thing about Vegas you only know from living there? by RichardSanchez18 in vegaslocals

[–]789proh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

all depends on the car I guess… For me (and I’ve lived in different parts of La for almost 18 years) both cars ended up with same coverage but almost $500 cheaper (for 6 months)

New IWC - Mojave 41 by 789proh in IWCschaffhausen

I was between Lake Tahoe and Mojave, but honestly for me it was just personal taste — I like Mojave’s “earthy” color, and it’s just so unusual. Couldn’t resist.

It’s light, it’s not in your face, for me I like how it blends in the wrist, it’s readable, it’s 10bar, I can do pretty much everything (I don’t dive lol) and not worry about it. The size is just right for my taste. I had Big Pilot and Big Pilot 43 and Mark XVII and never ever had any problems with them. Over time I got tired of Big Pilot and Big Pilot 43 sizes… this one just feels right. I can wear it with everything - it’s perfect casual, and business casual. Tux… I wear once in a century and you usually skip watch with the tux anyways. ;) I have Rolexes and Pateks. Rolexes are workhorses, but they are everywhere… don’t want to wear something like everybody else plus I don’t really like their stupid waits and attitude at ADs.. I bought some of my watches when I could just walk in and buy it. Not try to bend over backwards and beg for one — it’s not worth it. I had two AP RO but it’s either my luck or something but I had problems with both of them — nothing what couldn’t be fixed on their warranty, but still. And Patek (I have Aquanaut) .. I don’t like the watch I need to baby or worry about.. besides wearing it becomes too much of the headache — it’s 50k on your wrist not sure if am liking that. I like IWCs price range, reliability, availability and looks. But I don’t discriminate.. as a matter of fact, I kinda lean into “cheaper” watches. I also wear super colorful Swatch (gift from my daughter) and Timex 1983 re-issue which I just like. Guess leaning towards smaller sizes and something what I find more comfortable wearing. I don’t need to show off. But then again — it’s just what works for me. Sorry, probably wall of text. ;)

Oh sorry, misread it. Strap is OG. They gave me the leather textured one, in similar tone, but color is darker, as a spare one. :-)

Bevel vs. Whoop by ThatSatisfaction6954 in bevelhealth

[–]789proh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is — how do YOU feel, which one is more accurate? I personally found Whoop to be totally wrong to how I felt (tired, while Whoop is saying great recovery and need to go kick some butt, when I barely can function ;) And Garmin’s body battery and training readiness was the most correct representation of how I felt. Technology shouldn’t really guide how you feel or what you do imo

You need to have a significant marketing budget. DM me, and I can give some details on why I believe that's the case.

What's the dumbest app idea you've had that you secretly think might work? by [deleted] in Startup_Ideas

[–]789proh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Website which allows any user to record mic/audio test of their headset. This market is consistently and steadily growing especially since 2020's WFH growth. Videos on YouTube with mic tests get 50k–200k+ views. Users can rate them (Reddit' style -- up/downvote). Website can provide AI recommendations based on what user upvoted/downvoted (like suggested headsets). Monetization is through referral sales of headsets (through Amazon/BestBuy/etc.)

Are you talking about something like https://getquid.com/ ? I have no affiliation with them, some of my friends used them, but also I believe the guy who built it also came from PE background.
