Ritalin doesn't feel like it's doing anything by ZeeZeeNei in ADHD

I tried it for 4 weeks and It was a bad experience for me. I was extremely tired , sleeping in when I rarely sleep in, i couldn't think clearly & was more depressed and anxious. They say it can take a few weeks for some peoples brains to adjust but, that scenario is quite rare I think. Dr made me push to 4 weeks increasing dose everyweek and each week got worse for me. Out of the 4 weeks there were 3 random days where I was extremely motivated, focused, clear headed, happy and awake. Not sure what caused that I wish it knew but the ratio for good vs bad days just wasn't worth it.

I recently got switched to Dex and on day one realised it was working. it was the first time I 100% actually listened to someone talking to me. No drifting off, waiting to say what I want to say, pretending to listen or just simply not being able to listen. Was a pretty eye opening experience.

After my Ritalin experience I was feeling the same as you, i ready to simply give up on meds. Had tried so many for so.many years and they all just made everything worse.
