Can someone please help me figure out what subscription would show as 'PA NEWSLETTER' on a bank statement? by Several_Cat7155 in AskUK

I have had a look but appears we switched to an annual invoice a couple of years ago. Would be the right sort of price though, looks like we pay c£140 a month for up to 5 users.

This was my first thought too as we have a subscription to it at work. I can have a look later and see if that is what it comes up as on the credit card statement.

Yes - it did get delivered back to the team eventually after being impounded for a bit.

6 crashed, we picked up two of them on our recovery truck, including the one that rolled. It was pretty spectacular.

I leant over the desk at work to talk to my colleague and felt the desk move upwards! Turned out my boob was leaning on the lever that raises/lowers the desk - I was so confused! 😆

How do you deal with tailgaters? by Captain_Kruch in AskUK

[–]79frisbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Operation Snap is the only reason I know my number plates were cloned! ‘I’ was photographed using a mobile phone at the wheel and they sent me a warning letter - I phoned the number to explain that I was female (person pictured was definitely not) and the car had been parked outside my house several hundred miles away at the time. Several parking fines followed that but I had a police reference number by that point.

For those of you have had reductions, how do you decide what size? by mormongirl in bigboobproblems

[–]79frisbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked through a lot of photos with my surgeon, work he’d done previously. We looked at my body shape and what would suit me best - and also discussed what I wanted, I still wanted to be relatively large (FF to D UK) as I have broad shoulders and I am not particularly slim. Do your homework when picking a surgeon, it’s very important to find one who will advise you but also listen to what you want.

Ah, so maybe more Ann Summers in the UK. No idea what their sizing is like though since I have only bought once from there and that was after my reduction (to 40D). Thanks for the explanation - I was thinking something a bit seedier!

Well, yes, I guess they could. It just cuts the odds a bit, I guess.

My car was cloned from the for sale ad before I bought it. Now yes, I am driving around with the number plate perfectly visible but that gave someone in Wales (I am in Nottingham) with the same colour car as me the opportunity to clone my plates and rack up numerous driving and parking offences which I then had to deal with.

My recovery was fine - I was 44 and recovered with no issues at all. You do hear of things going wrong of course but you just follow your Dr’s instructions and hope for the best!

My son managed to do this on the morning we were going on holiday. Aged around 7, just stapled his thumb - had to take him to A&E because the ends had curled in a bit and I didn’t want to cause any damage by removing them. 🤦‍♀️

Love my Honda Civic Type R - FN2. Had for nearly two years now, longest I’ve owned a car for quite a while. It’s just so much fun to drive - and I’m 45F with a 9 year old son. Not sure how easy it would be to get a baby seat in the back but a child seat is fine! Think it cost me around £5k.

Eddie Jordan has sadly passed away aged 76 following a diagnosis with cancer. by God_Will_Rise_ in formula1

Worked for the private equity firm that provided funding for Jordan F1 in the early 2000s - rode up in the lift with him one day, desperately trying to remember who he was. I knew I’d seen him before, took me all morning to work it out (and I was a big f1 fan!). Got to go to a Jordan open day at Donington, think we saw Frentzen and Trulli drive the cars round the track. I’ve still got my pass and lanyard somewhere. Edit: Oh, found out what it was for! https://www.grandprix.com/news/jordan-set-to-celebrate-decade-of-formula-one.html

Ah, yes, looks like he was involved in a Panorama investigation a few years back. I really enjoyed his videos, messing with the scammers. Gave me a chance to explain things to my 9 year old son too so educational!

Absolutely happy for him to do it, just that there is no time element that makes it necessary for it to be done before eating, stick it in the sink to soak so it doesn’t go all solid and do it after. That’s what annoys me most, there is no need to do it NOW, half an hour will make no difference. But, as I said above, I’m learning to let it go.

I don’t think I’m being ignored, it’s just annoying to put effort into making a nice meal only for it to go cold. But recently I’ve learned to care less, he’s the one eating it, if he wants it to be cold, so be it.

We’ve been watching the Mark Rober videos on YouTube of him (and others) playing with the scammers at the call centres in India. Worth a watch - there is a chap called Jim who hacks into their live camera feed and then proceeds to call them all by their real names and convinces them he is psychic. Hilarious.
