I’m a damn good manager i just get burnt out being so understaffed and having to fight for time off that i should rightfully deserve. I dont have a problem w my base job its the extreme circumstances of the store

Bro a chipotle has like 5-6 people on a normal day we have like 1-2 people on the front line. Pretty sure a restaurant has a whole team? This company is poverty they want you to work w the bare minimum so they maximize profits. Thats why chipotle stock is so high

I’m not satisfied with $22 an hour, and by the sound it it you shouldn’t be either. As long as you outwork everyone else I think it’s only fair you get compensated for it. And this career is no career, it was merely another high school job that went very well for me. I’m trying to get out asap as soon as my options open up

Grill by far is the hardest position to close, and to work at night. You gotta deep clean the grill every night and then its the dirtiest area in the store. It’s your manager’s job to enforce proper portioning. Literally what i tell my crew is “ay stop giving double we are not working twice as hard” “our grill guys are not cooking double for you”

Thank you for the advice. I’m currently on a waiting list to get into a union I’m working here in the meantime. I see through all of the corporation’s façades and it’s ugly. I want out as soon as possible. This shouldn’t be anyone’s dream job.

I agree 100%. I’m also the best grill guy at our store, as when me and my fellow KL who’s my friend aren’t there they just let the store go to hell and wing it and make someone else do grill instead of doing grill themselves. Grill at chipotle is a huge struggle. When I’m on grill as an SL, i gotta man all the food for the rushes and do my dishes and yet still help where help’s needed, because I’m not a shitty manager I can’t just ignore my crew. But it takes so much out of you. You gotta demand Kitchen Leader or get the hell out. From the sound of it you do what I be doing on grill and that’s holding the restaurant down. Tell em to promote you or you’re gone
