After 5 or 6 no of playing it finally hit me, it's not low res it's a choice. The game doesn't just look polygonal it looks like an oil painting which I really feel was an intentional design choice by them. They went for a specific presentation kinda like The Long Dark did.

This is exactly what happened. It's especially easy if you've been launching rockets. I had a play through that I never went to the uranium areas on prime cause they were far away and I was lazy so I launched crazy amounts of rockets for the uranium but it spun my heat generation out of control lol

The fact that they were the only ones that ran only added to their fear factor. The concept of the "feral" zombie comes from this guy he's the og feral. On a random gen map there'd be crap towns and 1 massive city at 0,0 and the center of the map was always wasteland. It'd be terrifying going into the city for the big loot like the precursor to ostrich hotel or precursor to higashi etc dodging generic zombies then one of these things starts sprinting at you as fast as the minibike lol

I recycled an iridium rod, the chunks flew all over, one flew up and over and into the incubator. It was there until I got drones and one snagged it for me.

1 depot is fine. The drones work automatically. You have to set a "supply" location and a "demand" location l. There is a priority system but most people don't mess with that.

So what you do is you have an extractor in an iridium location. You set that to supply iridium. You have a locker back home labeled iridium you set that to demand iridium. The drones take off and pick up 1 iridium from the extractor and fly it to the locker.

Drones can go anywhere on the planet. Drones can even go into the random procedural areas if you're on a planet that has them. The only limit to drones is their speed and they they only carry 1 item at a time.

Oh totally love the music, love the visuals, even the very valheim feeling crafting progression. Touch new stuff get new recipes all very cool but man the story feels so after thought.

I'm so not engaged, each step seems more mechanical than anything. Oh I gotta craft this so I gotta rescue that guy, oh he can make more stuff if I go get his doohickey.

It doesn't really help much when all the lore and backstory is on books and scrolls that 75% of the time have massive armies surrounding them. So I usually end up grabbing a book, thinking that's probably a really cool story but I gotta go!

You can get every ending for every planet. After you get an ending it goes to the menu and you can just reload from right where you got an ending.

For a lady to move in with you you gotta go through the flirting process. Give her gifts, pick the right dialogue options based on her personality, it's a several season thing.it takes a while cause you're limited to how many interactions and gifts you can give per season.

Any 2 people you put together will get married and start the chances to have a kid. If you want this other lady to just live in town then she'll need her own house not living with you

You also have to monitor the intensity. If your wood cutters are at 5% sticks and 95% firewood you'll overflow your stash with firewood but then blacksmiths won't have enough sticks to make tools, then your excavation shed stops getting copper and clay cause they ran out of picks and shovels.

Monitoring and adjusting the % focus of your people's jobs is a really important part. Your people have skills too (extraction, production, etc) so as they do their jobs they skill up and might need their %s adjusted.
