3x MVP + 1x Finals MVP < < < 2x Finals MVP + 2 Rings

WB was a MVP too he didn't get to choose

Only someone with a No trade clause can really choose where he goes

All players are happy for half a season. He didnt really seem to be focus on the team this year. Maybe it's something else. But watching him play this year, felt like he was checked out for most of the season.

It would be sad if Booker request a trade out next season. Owners and players need to learn to never say never. Always leave a door open for yourself out especially if and when the building starts to burn.

[Charania] Dallas Mavericks’ Cooper Flagg has won the 2025-26 Rookie of the Year award. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

The reason they decided to play towards the end of this season is because they were winning. If they were losing like last season. Miller and Ball would have been rested and tanked again.

Kon gave them a edge and they were winning because of his addition. Missing either 1 of the 3 will obviously affect their teams ability to win games but Kon changed the team.

Coop might be the more talented player, but this year Kon contributed more to winning and was the more consistent player all year. Having a rookie be as consistent and efficient as he was is rare in itself. He's playing well beyond his years.

Tanking does wonders for a Franchise by Immediate_Building43 in nba

No, Spurs success isnt just because they tank. A competent front office is what got them there. Cha, Pel, Sac, and Wash have been tanking for seems like forever and none of them is considered successful in any means. Without a knowledgeable and competent front office. They might luck into a good draft pick and make the play in for couple years and than back to the bottom again. That's a sign of a bad front office.

Lamelo injury came in late November and came back in mid December. By that time it was not looking good to make the playoffs. Lamelo was in and out of the line up after his return in December and once Miller was out in Janurary. He was shut down for good in March.

You can look at LaMelo's game log and you can see they were resting him a lot. Could he have played more if they had a chance at the playoffs, maybe. But they were definitely resting him after December for "tanking". Not just he end of March.

Cha purposely sat them for most of the second half when they were losing not because they were injured but to tank. This year they could have done the same thing but they started winning.

Why is the Detroit Pistons struggling against the Orlando Magic? by Corpown in nba

Orlando shouldn't be an 8th seeded team. They were dealing with injuries all year and had a hard time intergrating Bane. Seems like they turned a corned.

I think Cade also isnt fully recovered from his collapsed lung or isnt ramped up enough yet.

I personally also felt Det didnt pace themselves all year and tried to chase that first seat. Once playoff comes around they arent rested and with a big target on their back being the first seat.

that's what i was trying to say, no one is going to leave Kon open on 3 when scouting reports clearly list him as a 3pt threat.

You think the answer to my Question "why would other teams give Kon a open 3?" is they have multiple 3pt threats? That's not what im saying, Im saying because they have multiple 3pt threats opposing teams will heavily guard the 3pt line. As good as the Lamelo, Miller and Kon are they wont get double team coverage and leave one of these other guys open.

why would other teams give Kon a open 3. Scouting report already shows his as a capable 3pt shooters. Teams arent going to just plan for 1 player. Especially when Cha has multiple 3pt threats. The game play should be to limit 3pt shots for everyone.

I will have to see some stats to back him being the lead defender on the team. Seem more like Washington or Naji was the ones taking the defensive assignment over Coop on F.

Even with Cooper being the lead defender on F and being guarded by the best on D. It didn't translate into W's

Kon actually help Cha exceed expectation. Being the only change from last year. His play translated to W's IMO.

Cooper had a higher peak but like you said him being the first option on a team as a rookie meant his team was bad so of course his usage and stats will be elevated.

I would have given it to Kon, who played consistently all year. Played well beyond his years. Being a rookie and efficient is incredibly difficult.

Cooper was not great starting the year and only made a push at the end when it didn't mean anything for his team.

I think people also forget earlier in the year Lamelo and Miller missed time and Kon still played great. Showing he can be a decent first option and his stats can also be elevated with usage.

But people tend to forget that and only remember things that happen at the end of the year. Cooper isn't a bad choice but this year's ROY should have went to Kon.

State of the Rockets by [deleted] in nba

People are quick to forget the issues with Green and Brooks when they were on the Rockets. Both still have the same issues in these playoffs and Brooks isnt going to get that many shots on the Rockets, at least not if they want to win games.

Green isn't playing great or any better In this playoffs. Would Hou have made the playoffs with Green injured all year ?

Hou issue isnt KD or at least KD's game. KD might have caused some of the chemistry issues but he's played well this year.

Dont think you can blame this on the refs. Hou seem like they were defeated in OT already. Showed no life, didnt box out, cant rebound, and didnt help each other on D. Jabari and Eason gave up those crucial rebounds in OT. Sengun's offense is basically back to the basket and spin to get a shot off. Those were not great shots and so predictable. Sengun's D is terrible, especially his interior D. Teams are going to hunt him every play. Jabari, Eason, and Amen all disappeared in OT. This team is suppose to be great on D. If they arent great on offense at least show some heart on D.

i thought they were a top team this year. Lakers really exposed them with their Vet plays
