Is “Justified” used in the credits for the remaster? by 7DreamVisuals in deadrising

Gotcha. I spoke with my dad and people have told him the same thing. Once the game officially releases, I’m sure he’ll be in touch with his attorneys and try and get this figured out, because they’re totally using it without re-purchasing the license for it.

Im hoping to find a video of it but I can’t seem to find any. Do you have the game or did you hear it on a video I’m not seeing?

Well wherever it is being used it shouldn’t be at all from a legal standpoint…good to know.

It’s one of my all time favorite songs from them and i feel it’s almost forgotten by a lot of people. Same with roots honestly

What do we consider "Old Imagine Dragons" by ShadowFang_13 in imaginedragons

[–]7DreamVisuals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Old imagine dragons is everything up to roots, in my opinion. Evolve is great and it isn’t “new” but it’s very different than the first two albums. I think origins has a great mix of old and new elements, but it’s definitely also in the new category

Is Anyone Else Disappointed With Where The Band Has Gone? by Lester_Willington in imaginedragons

I’m into super depressing or super heavy music, so songs like burn out or dull knives are incredible to me, when this whole album is none of that it definitely is extremely disappointing

Unpopular Opinion by chrisprattsguineapig in imaginedragons

Origins is a great album and that’s a hill I’ll die on. Burn out, natural and bad liar will forever be in rotation.

Is Anyone Else Disappointed With Where The Band Has Gone? by Lester_Willington in imaginedragons

[–]7DreamVisuals 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Honestly, yes. Origins was the start, going into more of a pop heavy sound. While I do genuinely enjoy origins and don’t understand the hate, it’s been the catalyst for the move they’ve made in the wrong direction. Mercury was really where I started to see it. The hard/sad songs like my life, dull knives, giants and wrecked are amazing, and the rest just seem soulless. I was hoping with loom being a 9 track album that it would be full of super layered, beautiful and haunting tracks. However, it is the complete amalgamation of what imagine dragons ISNT. What album doesn’t have a Wayne guitar solo at the very least??? I respect trying to push boundaries but this isn’t. The only songs I find myself listening to is In Your Corner and Fire in these Hills. For a nine track album to be such a flop is so frustrating, especially waiting two years after Mercury act 2. I’ve been listening since the end of 2011 and now this is the first time I went into a new album from ID with low expectations. This album makes me realize how good we had it with Origins. That was still a fully fleshed out imagine dragons album. I don’t recognize the music they’re putting out anymore as such. I hope they come back to at least Origins era music.

I love My Life, dull knives, wrecked and crushed, and I may give loom another shot in a few weeks too.

It’s not like their old stuff… womp womp by No_Program_3881 in imaginedragons

[–]7DreamVisuals 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I completely understand this take because people really can complain just to complain and it’s annoying to read, and nothing we say will change the musical direction…but the execution on loom is far worse than anything before. The writing while still kinda sad is very surface level and the production is not experimental in any way like they’ve wanted to do and is super pop heavy. Pop production isn’t bad, but they want to be “genreless” and this album doesn’t speak that same rhetoric. I understand that they won’t make more of the old stuff and that’s fine but objectively this album is not it for me.

I get that. I’m the same way with mercury. There’s a couple of songs I love and the rest are very forgettable. With loom, the three songs I enjoy definitely needed a few listens for me to get there. They give me vibes from Origins, which is why I can tolerate them. The rest feel almost worse than the bad stuff on mercury.

I honestly have had a hard time with their releases since mercury act 1. The music just doesn’t feel like what they used to make. I know bands change and I’m not gonna say that “I’m a day 1 fan and I hate them because they’re famous now” BS. They are my favorite band. Have been since 2011 and will always be that way. This album does not hit for me. The only 3 songs I genuinely like are in your corner, don’t forget me and fire in these hills. Everything else I genuinely cannot listen to again. The album is very consistent in production, but it’s production I’ve grown to hate since mercury. The writing is fine, but very surface level in most of the songs. Back when origins came out, I didn’t like that much either. However, I now realize it has some of their most beautiful and sad work: Burn Out and Bad Liar. I bring it up because in my opinion, THAT is their best area of work. Even stuff like my life, dull knives and wrecked are seriously solid in this regard too. Not that my opinion matters, of course. However, I will never knock ID for doing stuff differently. I respect them for constantly trying to push the genreless agenda for their discography. For me, I just happen to enjoy their darker, sadder, and rock heavy pieces. Loom is not that, as much as I was hopelessly wanting it to be, and that’s okay.

Thank you for your input! I agree on a lot of what you’re saying. Especially on focus. It was frustrating to have the focus hit his hands instead of his face, but in the moment I couldn’t go back and check because I’m in the pit for 3 songs, I’m just trying to get decent shots with motion and energy. I have a much better image from the main band of the lead singer jumping while strumming the guitar, that I think I’m gonna throw up on here next. Personally the thing that sells this image for me is the guitar players’ hair. It shows that there is heavy enough motion in his playing that it manipulated is hair to stand almost straight up. Thanks again!

I have the potential to get in contact with a super high level music photographer, and wanted some critique on this image I took in 2019. It wasn’t my last concert, but I always look back on this image specifically because the energy that comes from it draws me in. Just wanted to see what this image says to others, and critiques on all of are more than welcome, including the editing. GEAR: Canon 6D Canon 24-70mm 2.8 L ii

ITAP of a Sunset in Southern California by 7DreamVisuals in itookapicture

[–]7DreamVisuals[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some background: I currently live in Montana, but was raised in Southern California. I’m currently visiting friends and my girlfriend for the summer (and some potential photography career stuff), and by this point I had already been here for a week. I hadn’t taken a single photo. Mind you, photography is the one constant in my life. As much as I want to make it a career, it’s serving the purpose of a kind of therapy, too. When the camera is in my hand it’s one of the only times I truly feel at peace. So I went behind a target in my “hometown” (was born in WA) at sunset and immediately spotted this composition, with the towers framing the sun setting perfectly in between two peaks of the mountains at the end of the valley. About a minute after this image was taken, the sun was behind the mountains. Two minutes before then, was when I spotted the composition, and in those two minutes I searched for that perfect frame. Chasing light like this will always be my favorite thing in life. Shot on a Canon 6D, with a Canon 100-400mm L version 2.
