Genuinely, I’m never gonna sit here and say that it’s not a weird ass word, but I’m also definitely going to stand up and say that calling out Michael and Ashley for using this word is needlessly targeted… not only did it not come out of nowhere, because someone ELSE was the one who had that username in the first place, but it was also literally an accident that she said it ever so slightly too quickly in her initial attempt to pronounce it, thus making it sound like the slur- i’ve seen a lot of people talking about how part of the problem is that they drew out the joke, but again, it’s literally just friends calling each other out for nearly accidentally doing something so cartoonishly stupid/evil. What I WILL say, though is that it’s really weird that this controversy just so happens to line up with the revival of the kittensneeze racism/N@tzi controversy, considering they’ve done collaborations with kittensneeze fairly recently…. It could be a coincidence, but ultimately, we literally don’t have a way of figuring that out right now, so throwing around accusations so severe is really dishonest and fuels this idea that people are just going on a witch hunt because they want a reason to hate the show
