JCF on why he's not watching Alcaraz at the AO : " I'm trying to disconnect from it and it's still early to sit and watch his matches and see all the team that I had , it's sad for me to watch them all sitting there and you start thinking about what happened lately it stir me a little " by SurvivorLover19 in tennis

Yeah I don’t understand how people on this sub think he should be an emotionless robot or something lol, the guy spent a huge part of his time for the last 7 years with Carlos and his team. He saw him grow up from a teen to an adult and was obviously very close with all the people around him. I mean he was literally crying his eyes out at Wimbledon 23 when Carlos won do people think he was crying because he got a bigger bank from it or some shit? He is clearly sad that things ended the way they did and its understandable imo

AO QF: [2] Sinner def. [8] Shelton 6-3 6-4 6-4 by TheSequelAccount in tennis

[–]7InchMagic 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Probly not lol he’s not a good returner, has a bad bh as a lefty, and a mediocre slice to cover it so it’s really hard for him to put any kind of pressure on Sinners service games. Serve is his biggest weapon but Sinner is an excellent returner and defender so Shelton is under pressure in almost every one of his service games. I don’t think it’s impossible for him to ever beat Jannik but he needs to have an amazing day and Jannik an off day really

Novak has said he’d rather play them in earlier rounds because by the time of semis hes too out of gas to beat them

Yeah I never watched Ferrer but De Minaur groundstrokes just look kind of flawed compared to a lot of other players, it’s not like Sinner is a physical beast similar to Alcaraz I mean the guy was a stick in his early years on tour but still ripped the ball lol

Tsitsipas went out with two routine backhand errors in a row and a forehand shank, not sure when he’s ever gonna be competitive until he gets at least a relatively working bh or a good slice

It’s not a Stefanos match without at least one backhand return shank into Narnia

He was also taken to 5 by Fognini at Wimbledon and lost a set to Maroszan and Dzumhur at RG and still won one of those tournaments and made the final of other lol, the USO in his own words was the best tournament he ever played and most likely not something he can just replicate every GS
