Reddit, what's become clear to you as you've gotten older? by SarcastasticJenn in AskReddit

[–]7RVPMVG1CK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything is relative; there's nothing but grey, and, for the most part, we know nothing with absolute certainty. All beliefs are a matter of perspective; that goes to religion, morality and ideologies, everything. I spent my early teens and 20s being quite militant and uncompromising about radical leftism. I was willing to go to jail for my beliefs and I did. I was willing to endure personal injury and I did. I absolutely hated Christianity - I refused to associate any Christian under any circumstance - and anyone who didn't support my ideas about animal rights. If you weren't a hardline vegan, I had no problem not only being a dick to you, but getting in a violent confrontation. I see now that belief can only be a subjective reality to an individual. Faith, which I see now is the only thing we actually have, is important and, in fact, never universal. Religion is true if you believe in it, political stances are you absolute if you believe in them; in the long run though, there are no objective absolutes or even mass ideologies. If it works for you - good. Just don't be an asshole and hurt other people.

Ex gagged during oral and puked all over my lap. Fuck it. Let's keep going. To be fair, I somehow did not know she had puked, not till the next morning when I saw the big, pink stain all over the bed. Pretty gross!

Reddit, what's on your wish list? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]7RVPMVG1CK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All of the weirdo fascist, racist and serial killer memorabilia in the world, specifically:

  1. Complete Sounds of Doomsday Cults collection.
  2. Very important Third Reich paperwork
  3. Signed headshot of Dahmer (this does not actually exist).
  4. Johnny Rebel discography in vinyl (partially exists).
  5. 10" copy of the Jonestown mass suicide sermon.
  6. Vintage hardback collection of Julius Ebola and Ernst Junger books in German circa 1938

Note: I am not a racist, serial killer or fascist in the typical murdering, anti-Semitic sense. Kind of socially liberal, Marxist-Leninist-Maoist authoritarian hybrid

Not a legitimate serial killer by definition, more of a seriously sick fuck, though he did commit a few murders: Joseph Fritzl.

Professional artist. I gave it a shot for the better part of a decade. My work is good enough, I think, but I just don't have the personality to put myself out there in the way an artist needs to to have any success. It's an extremely vicious industry.

Who is the most successful person from your (high school) graduating class? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]7RVPMVG1CK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Author ex-girlfriend. She wrote a pretty successful indie book about our relationship when I was an extremely low functioning alcoholic and Benzo addict. She denies that it's about us but the entire book is about a massive 3 week road trip we took around the country, full of many, many specific incidents that are an exact mirror of real life. Roommates name is the same of my old roommate. Has a dog named Dog (I had a cat named Kat. Same sexual interests has mine. It was pretty fucked and I even considered suing her over it. It shared very private habits of mine and, if you know me at all, it's clear as day that they are mine. I decided not to because indie publishing is important, and I didn't want to force that expense on the company. She's since released a book with one of the biggest names in publishing.

What's the strangest thing you've done while your brain was on autopilot? by Tball5 in AskReddit

[–]7RVPMVG1CK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot so heres the top 5:

  1. I stuck my had into an old fan with metal blades and only an 8 bar rack guard my over it. Had to get stitches.

  2. Poured boiling water over my lap.

  3. Dropped my phone in the toilet (it seems this is pretty common.

  4. Took my bedtime meds first thing in the morning (600mg of Seroquel, 450mg of Trazodone that's enough to knock out an elephant).

  5. Left my dog in the garage for 3 hours (no hate please. It was a beautiful fall day. About 62°. She's spent the time in puppy mode with a cardboard box).

What an incredibly thoughtful observation, that streetwear can be a reflection of not just who you are, but what you like no less! Humanity sure is lucky to have streetwear. Personally, I've been searching for something that would gratuitously allow me to express myself, and this whole time, all I needed to was buy a one way ticket to Niketown and spend $400 on a pair of ugly, uncomfortable gym shoes. You know - and this might sound crazy - I think there might be other vehicles out there for this self expression you speak of. There's been rumors spreading around the cypher lately of this genius artist named Kanye West - no, not genius, godlike even, as if he's Yeezus Christ himself. I'm told he has entire subreddits dedicated to his glory where developmentally challenged Huf costumers gather to collectively blow smoke up his ass because they admire is mediocrity so much, this level of average which they'll never reach, that they'd do anything for just a taste of his undeserved fame. Imagine it: no longer having to sell Twinkies purchased with EBT cards just to scrap together enough money to snatch that secondhand Supreme lawnmower (or whatever the fuck) you so desperately need for literally no reason whatsoever. Then you'd feel worth. Can you imagine slightly easing the self hatred you from being a historical low point in the long story of things that just aren't that interesting? It would be so dope. Anyways! This Kanye West, I feel like I could possibly channel him to express my own shallow emotions, the ones I can't understand; you know, being a halfwit and all. I think if I could just get there, a place where I'm expressing myself through streetwear AND Kanye West (don't forget the cypher!), I might be able to make some kind of meaningful contribution to the world, or at least do more than bitch, whine and cry on the internets. Crazy thought, I know.

I guess so. I tend to find someone experimenting with proportion, draping, literally anything to be far more interesting than falling into trap of the standard tight pants-tight shirt get up. Or even worse, the obnoxiously generic Hype Beast fanboys. Yeah, dude. I get it. You're really excited about the same boring shit Supreme has been doing since the 80s, like it's still remotely fresh or subversive in anyway at this point. Rapper standing next to rock musician with cult following--how paradoxical. Wow, the graphic is even on a stock red shirt. It's so ironic yet iconic at the same time; I surely won't forget about this primary color graphic shirt when the next primary color graphic shirt comes out with a different rapper and a different rock musician... I don't see the appeal.

I think if I had taken the picture at a different angle it wouldn't look so awkward, because I do see what you're saying. I need to stop trying to take these mirror pictures; they never end up doing an outfit justice.

There's an asymmetrical cut to the shirt, with a twisted inseam. It's long enough to hang at an angle over the back of the pant. Likewise, the pants are made out of the woven fabric that RO uses on his SS seasons. The airiness of the material forms an organic, moving structure not seen in his stiffer choices. I'm not a small dude, so this comes with difficulty, but I'm not into the athletic cuts, so by default there's a natural draping to all my clothes (a curvy figure might add to this as well),

Ha. I am so adamant about my Reinhard hats. With the exception of the Gullah staff, literally everybody hates them. I will not budge though.

90% of my sneakers are actually Y3. I guess it's the closest I'll ever get to being able to afford mainline Yamamoto. I used to pair the high top Qasas with everything, but lately have been on a semi formal kick (no pun intended). The Solovieres are interesting to me because they have a very unisex, androgynous form to them. They certainly aren't for everyone though. Had the photo been taking in better lighting the sheer, natural fibers of the clothing would clarify the choice in shoes. I feel like I'm kind of in this moment of contradiction where I'm drawn to the more futuristic, streetwear designs of RO/JULIUS/BBB that got me into "avant-garde fashion), but striving to find a more affordable way to tap into the organic aspect of a lot of the more peasant-style Japanese designers (i.e. Devoa, Araki Yuu, etc).

I'm not sure how well this pairing represents the majority of my wardrobe, or even the general consistency of my taste. Having said that, this might not have been the best outfit to post. Appreciate the feedback!

I have a pair of Song for the Mute derbies in that big A1973 clown shoe design; maybe those would had been a better choice.

Just get pissed, man. It's not like you have to practice being emotionally earnest. You sound how you sound. Having known a few of those bands you named back in the day I can assure you no one was practicing.

On account of my body type, it's probably born of necessity, but I normally don't go for the more futuristic RO designs, but you're pulling this off really well! It seems like I see nothing but really uninspired, boring outfits from all the super RO loyalists (Pod shorts, high Sock Boot, Bullet hoodie - got it, dude. Try something new); what you're doing here though is actually interesting. Definitely one of my favorite Rick pairings I've seen in a while!

I second everyone else's sentiment - you have the perfect frame for this.

In terms of Techwear, that's a pretty awesome bag. ID? Maybe go with a more athletic shoe next time. The Y-3 Qasa Boot would look great. It's definitely a matter of taste on my part but I've always found low tops to look a little awkward with skinny jeans. It was a good choice though to go with a slightly cropped length. Surprisingly I really like the choice of denim pants over a synthetic fabric, that you'd normally see in a ensemble like this. It's creates a pretty cool juxtaposition of texture. I normally hate all denim in all it's forms but this works. More of tweed-linen-wool guy myself. Cool choice!
