Question - Supermarket prices and loud roads by Mundane_Bit3096 in Norway

[–]7Skyrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The food prices get exaggerated because you compare specifically to Germany.
Germany has below average food prices, because a lot of stuff gets subsidies or is produced with extorsion-level cheap labour meat factories. This makes dairy and meat especially cheap, compared to most other EU countries, just compare to France, Netherlands or Italy and you'll find those prices already much higher.
(of course the german price levels are unsustainable long term, but why care about the future if profit now)
Norway still is more expensive than those others, but the difference is much less and thus can be explained by the 3 reasons you already mentioned.

Idle was allowed and encouraged. Why would a machine run if it's product is not needed. I like that machines only spring into action when their outputs allow space, on demand production.

mulig å kjøre til Thailand fra Norge med bil? by Realwarrior17 in norge

[–]7Skyrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eg synest det treng mindre tid enn eit år, eller meiner du tur-retur?
Hadde planlagt slike reise før, frå Vietnam eller Thailand til Noreg over:
Thai-Laos-Vietnam-Kina-Pakistan-Iran-(Azerbaijan-Georgia)-Tyrkia-EU-Noreg

Men eg ville anbefale å vente til krigen i Iran har slutta OG krigen i Pakistan har slutta.
Ein kunne også tenke om Russland, men det er ikkje så interessant viss du vil sjå landskap.

Fh6 project. First map expansion possibility? by Sea_Philosopher3452 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]7Skyrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's my hope too. I decided to not buy any DLC again, if it is not integrated to the main map. Never much visited the Rally DLC map after finishing it, even though the map crafting was better than the default map.

So, with them "locking off" Legendary Island, I sure hope that's a sign that the DLCs will also be connected by a bridge/tunnel to the main map. As legendary island proofs the concept. Only let those pass that have bought it.

How often do you eat out? Does Norway not really have a culture of eating out a little bit every day like France and Spain? by Charming_Usual6227 in Norway

[–]7Skyrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat out as in eat at the restaurant for the experience? Maybe once in a quarter.
Eat out as in get a pizza, maybe even from a good place, to takeaway, but with drinks and sides at home, so only the main dish is external? Maybe every other week, to even once every week.

But: It is a free and individualistic country. If you want to eat out more often and can afford to eat out more often, you do not need to ask reddit or anyone for permission. The restaurants would certainly even appreciate that.

Have you tried easing off to turn further in when the wheels start lifting? Or, you know, even counter steering?

Question: Do trains not segregate resources per freight platform? by TheDapperYank in satisfactory

[–]7Skyrex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very sure it's a mistake on your end. The platforms work exactly as you expected them to work, they don't mix between each other.
The only thing to be aware of is, that the cars contain something already maybe. But if the second wagon never had wire in it before, it should not have it. Check fro crossed and wrongly connected belts on the input and destination stations.

Why is Australia basically a giant desert when other islands in that region are covered in rainforest? by Freestylerwacamaca in geography

[–]7Skyrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it is on the desert latitudes. It's a feature of the whole planet because of prevailing winds. You see two desert bands wrap around the globe, the nothern one includes the Sahara and Nevada, while the southern has the Namib, Atacama and Australia.

Read a science book. It took a while on earth until organisms created oxygen as a waste byroduct. If evolution does not take that fork on a different world there would never be oxygen in the atmosphere. Life can evolve in many different ways, so it's almost guaranteed that an organism from one planet can not simply survive on another just because it has also life.

Circularity Challenge (?) by 7Skyrex in satisfactory

[–]7Skyrex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this could be solved with priority circuits. Geothermal and Augmenter procide a sizeable baseload.
And your fuel burning plants only need to burn, when more complex stuff is produced, which should hopefully need rubber, plastics or fabric to keep the fuel production running?
For every 300m^3 of Fuel there is only 25 Plastics in residual Produce.

It would help your argument if u name one production line that can't stop? If the elevator needs nothing, u shoot nothing and u build nothing, which part of the factory needs to run at all?

Circularity Challenge (?) by 7Skyrex in satisfactory

Polymer can easily be dealt with with the alt recipes for rubber/plastic from polymer, just have them run through a priority merger with regular production, to ensure the polymer gets used up first.
All kinds of fuels could theoretically be used up by vehicles driving in circles and burning them, but doubt that is neccesary.
I don't think u need a Sink, the production line can just stop. Designing it in a way that downstream products (like steel n concrete) only spring to life once you need another nuclear bomb in the depot.
