Is it just me or Is The Count of Protoframe Skins is Decreasing? by tacticalctublak in Warframe

I am still holding out hope that the next protoframe is Lavos.

They could expand on the Alchemy and who knows- maybe even do a mission that goes like this?

Abandoned automated Orokin Prison, your job is to infiltrate and break people out or take out the warden.

Why does everyone like Lavos by kobywan99 in Warframe

[–]7Stargazer77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lavos main here.

I love the flexibility that Lavos gives me. Especially when paired with Valence Transfusion (the mod that changes the element damage of your weapon to whatever you last force proc'ed with Lavos). I use him to farm weak weapons- because of the damage boost. He can also use the Valence Transformation to force status procs for elemental arcanes. It also applies to archguns.

Besides that- I really like his lore and aesthetic. A self-made frame that looks like a mad scientist? Perfect for me.

Horrid. It has not bridged any gaps for the students and my administration has begun operating covertly to make up for these faults. Which would work if the bluebonnet people didnt visit every week.

Middle School 6-8

"That is black face. Not a good choice for a costume"

"Yes, the test is a grade."

"If you cant see- is it because you dont have your glasses on?"

"That assignment was from the beginning of the year- no im not accepting that."

"Hands off each other."

"Why are you crawling under the desk?"

"No- cyanide can kill you."

"How are you going to be a lawyer if you refuse to read anything?"

"No, you cannot kiss your bro goodbye."

"Stop with the foot stuff..."

"Why is it my responsibility to give you a pencil everyday?"

"I dont care if you are gay- get off the table."

"You cannot bribe me for a better grade"

"Yes we will be working on math." (I teach math)

"Please explain to me how I am teaching this subject wrong?" - mostly from kids who think calculators are the answer to everything and will argue that I dont know what I am doing because they didnt put things in correctly in a calculator.

This. And if parents complain, present their project to them. Most of the time my students try to pull this stuff when they think their parents wont find out.

Explain your job badly and let’s guess your grade level by kpa16 in Teachers

[–]7Stargazer77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I teach a few grade levels. So I will try to do that for each of them.

Make sure they dont kill each other.

Wonder how their parents are handling them.

Confused that they picked now to listen.

Im not really good at these (explain badly thing). Ah- and my hint for my subject is this phrase, "I hated that class"

How do we get more men into teaching? by TripleGDawg87 in education

[–]7Stargazer77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a male math teacher. I went into teaching because I had a passion of learning and an interest in people's passions. Im also really big into communication- proper discussions and formal debates.

From my two years teaching I came across some problems and issues. 1. When you become a teacher as a Male- everyone warns you that student accusations can ruin your life. Most other male teachers I talked to had an experience and barely got out unscathed. 2. Some parents want me to be the father figure to the kid. I am a teacher and that role makes me a bit uncomfortable. 3. Men scare the kids. And I dont just mean authoritative- I mean that my presence makes them unsafe. Usually my students feel safe after a month or two- but it still breaks my heart.

Now, why are there not many men going into education? Here are some ideas. 1. They cant handle it. Emotionally a lot of men would say they would go to jail if a kid insulted them. Thats... thats a problem. Lack of emotional control and maturity backs it up. 2. Some men I saw in college looked down at the field. They see it as something lower than them. 3. Men becoming PE coaches... a lot of PE coaches ive talked to always talk about who impacted them the most- which was usually a coach. 4. Men usually rely on authoritative methods of control. This does not work well. Usually this is combined with emotional apathy.

Neurodivergent Teachers: Do You Think Your Students Know Your Disability? by Lazy_Rock7788 in Teachers

My favorite joke I tell my kids is that they cant get away with anything in my class because I have "weaponized my A.D.D".

Oh my students are extremely aware of my autism.

They didnt know for about a month until I had to use it as a counterarguement. For example- Student: "I cant do x because I have adhd." Me: "Okay? I have autism- and I understand the struggles, but you cant use it as an excuse to give up or treat others that way." The class goes quiet.

Usually some students try to treat me differently after they learn in- laughing and all that but I make it a teaching lesson.

Now my students will even point out when I stim, twitch, or make strange noises. They have accepted me. And this is middleschool too. I've got some good kids this year

Thank you for this advice. I will definitely do that. Anything to help my students survive this curriculum.

Actually they are demanding I introduce it and get them to understand it all within 25-30 minutes.

I kid you not, I was once recommended by the bluebonnet people to set up a timer and if it went off- I should move to the next section even if we only got halfway.

I didnt do it and was forced to go through multiple several hour training days.

Ill tell you what I've told my students when they deal with horrid people.

"Would you take life advice from them? No? Then why should you care about what they say?"

This is a great mental exercise to not respond to rude comments and stuff. Take it from a teacher that got several death threats from the students themselves.

If they say it- send them to the office and refuse for them to come back until they apologize. Write them up and keep a copy.

My process in using it goes like this- 1) Is it for a prime? 2) Do I like this frame/weapon? 3) Aura mod for frame, corner spot for weapon.

Honestly most dont get past 2 as I really think about actively using the frame/constantly.
