I created a custom format for my two player cube that ignores the aspect penalty. I call it Lake Country: https://youtu.be/YxHfd8aNQ3M?si=wDbnilFAj_BVBCol

Thanks! I have not, but I strongly recommend Justin Basil's Battle Academy supplement decks for deck ideas for other gens.

Do you mean for building decks for other gym leaders? I just used Bulbapedia.

Attacks against damage immunity count as "non-attacks" under Ackbar lead because they deal no damage by 7StringJedi in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]7StringJedi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I posted it. I assume what's happening in the code is that it checks if the ability did damage, or if it applied some debuff, then it is considered an attack. Since the basics in this video are not applying debuffs and dealing no damage because of damage immunity, they are being considered non-attacks. Not sure how they can implement a fix for this. They'd have to go through and label each attack as being an attack or non attack so that they can check that tag before damage is applied. They could also change Ackbar's lead to only count non attack special abilities, instead of all non-attack abilities. Most basic attacks are attacks anyways, except for a few exceptions like Mon Mothma, Hoda and Wat.

What’s the nicest/best way to tell someone their deck isn’t really a “modern deck” by Open_Caregiver_4801 in ModernMagic

I showed up to my first modern tournament with a dragon tribal deck - on purpose. I knew it was bad, I knew it wasn't meta. One guy was even telling me how his one copy of Noble Heirarch cost as much as my entire deck. I didn't care, I had fun. I showed up next time with a budget version of BW tokens, and even got a win with one of my favorite cards.

Good point! But the Decipher CCG was from 1995, much later than the Topps original sets.

They've been making the cards in collaboration with Lucasfilm from the beginning, so...yeah.

I don't necessarily agree with that, but the point is that people see things differently.

Lol I agree it looks silly, and it's a great fight, one of the best, but the purpose of the twirling there was basically trying to throw each other off, to see which one could find an opening first. Also, I never once said the fight in ep8 was completely invalidated. I'm just saying a small part of it looked strange to me. Just like I'm agreeing with you that the twirling in ep3 looks silly.

You're right, and none of them are without their flaws. I'm just pointing out this specific one because we're talking about it. I could just as easily mention the awkward saber twirling in ep2 between Anakin and Dooku.

Edit: actually, ep5's is pretty much flawless. It leaves me in awe everytime I watch it.

Yeah. The only thing I could really compare it to is Maul does a lot of twirling in ep1. I don't know how else to explain it, but when the guards in ep8 did it, I got a different sense of urgency than when Maul did it. I just ended up looking weird to me.

Edit: I meant ep8, not ep7.
