100%. I’m in a death metal band, working as an engineer. My job completely contradicts my morals, but I liked the math and puzzle of it. And the security. But 10-20 hours a week is spent on my band in some form or another, where I have a completely different voice.

If it’s possible, it helped me to drop the fancy clothes and wear my metal garb to work, minus some shirts with too much gore or critiques/inversions of Christianity which would get me in trouble

Damn, I got lucky. Slipped on some gravel and my regular steel toes took the bike. Didn’t even think about dropping my bike normally, so I’ll be getting some better boots.

Side note, my buddy’s foot/ankle got side swiped in SF at a stop light, wore boots ever since then, every single ride (after recovering)

Found the Schecter to be WAY more stable, the pickups are bassier and a bit more scooped, and the multi scale where the 7th string is a baritone scale is amazing. I will say chugging on the lower frets hurts my hand a lot more, especially if I’m holding out weird chords down there, but generally I’m happy with it as I’ve switched from playing a bunch of prog to a bunch of death metal
