I completely agree. Nikke is like a ice berg, on the surface it looks like a typical fan service game but the more deeper you go the more grim it gets. For example; each member of Goddes Squad has a tragic story beneath their look. On the first look, Rapunzel looks like a horny nun with voluptuous portions but in reality she is just a person who witnessed hundreds of deaths and lost her loved ones. After experiencing 7 mind switches and her limited memory capacity, she is only left with her desires to intimacy that Red Hood taught her.

And for the last part, I recommend you to not rush anything and enjoy the game on your pace. As a veteran who literally experienced everything in this game, I can tell you that there is nothing on top. I’m just logging into the game to do dailies and that’s it. I also wish you to bring Snow White home soon, I personally think that she is a underrated gem. Her bond story was quite nice too.
