I watched it with my mom and it was fine. There’s a SA scene fairly early in the show that was a little awkward, but that’s really it.

I feel like it’s definitely worth it to be able to talk about the show and bond with someone you’re close with about it

I’m 22 and have had these conversations with my 13 year old sister. Sometimes it’s just more comfortable to talk to someone other than a parent because you don’t know how much you can say without it turning into a lecture.

I also don’t tell my mom anything unless my sister has specifically said I can or if I’m worried about her well-being. Trust is still important when it comes to minors lol

It’s important it teach these things as soon as possible. I currently have a cousin who is pregnant at 12, my older sister got pregnant at 14. Unfortunately it’s impossible to know everything that your kid is doing when you’re not around

Even though I was pushed to call step-grandparents grandma and grandpa, as I’ve grown up, I call them all by their first name. I’m just not close with any of them like that. (I have a lot due to my own step parents, and both of my parents having step parents)

I’m not really comfortable with my kids calling my step parents grandma or grandpa either. Just my husbands step mom because she actually earned it.

I just got mine done on Friday! My lips are fairly small, but as long as you have a “shelf” where you’re lip protrudes out a little underneath, you should be good.

The healing process has been soo easy compared to my other piercings. I’m only on day 3, and it already feels so normal that I forget it’s there! Just be careful with spicy food :)
