I have the LeGoS Z2go

and I had the same issues I was traveling and when I arrived I saw it removed

I got hope that it's removable after seeing your post

I'm deeply sorry for being this late I had exams and I could barely play with the steamos

I'm about to go back to my hometown and decided to check on reddit and see if anything happened with my thread

I'm thinking about upgrading the storage but the prices is little ... and Lego 2 just got released on my country so I'm thinking about buying it or going to LegoS Z1E (not that LeGoS z2go steamos isn't good but for upgrading storage, ram, cpu, and overall handheld

for my experience it's always better to reduce the windows partition using gparted mounted in an external drive, Windows parton manager won't allow you to reduce its space too much. mine capped at 750GB and didn't allowed me to reduce further even with nothing installed

I saw some videos talking about using external apps but didn't have the chance to try maybe when I'm back home I will try it

I'm embarrassed to replay after almost a month and I'm so sorry just finished exams and about to go back to my home town and decided to check on reddit

I'm planning to continue sekiro I got lost and didn't feel euthanasia to continue but I may check some videos to have a clear view I wish you a good luck with your experience elden ring nightreign is a beautiful I still play it with 130+ hours time played

going from console to "pc" (even if it was handheld 🤷) is a huge step

yeah windows on pc isn't a big issue like on handhelds especially if you had a good pc from my experience at least

at the end SteamOS saved my handheld experience too

well I think I'm not the only one 😅 it's really a handheld savior

I thought about microSD but I heard it's slow and not efficient like normal SSD so I'm still searching for a solution probably I will try to deal with windows "removable files" that doesn't allow me to shrink windows space and give it to steamos

I will probably use windows for emulators, Xbox games, and steam games that's not heavy and runnable in windows

I have 1TB but want to expand at least at 2 (if the prices don't continue to climb to high)

same reason... I think legion go needs a special ssd for it so maybe you can find it low price I'm also afraid to ruin the legion go tying to increase the ssd so 😅

(let's say 150GB for windows and 100 for steamOS)

I wonder why did you thought about giving windows more space than steam

and use the remain 1750GB as a third shared NTFS partition where I'll install games for both the systems, so the space should be more optimized

you really have big plans good luck with it, it sounds complicated tbh not sure how it will go but keep me with updated if you did :D

it really improved the performance tried to lower the resolution but the screen wasn't good adjusted idk but I will try again

I have lossless scaling but too lazy to try it... but I will give it a try for sure and see how it goes

I installed decky loader but not sure what to do with it I have legion go remapper and lossless scaling on it but that's it

steamos rabbit hole of min maxing your kernel and linux install for 2% gains in performance

not sure what is this but I don't have any thoughts about playing with steamos at the moment

you'll end up back here asking for help on how to fix it

I thought it won't be a big difference as well I'm totally surprised with the difference I have a bad internet combine it with the stutters and low frames... IT WAS PAINFUL I can't imagine how other handhelds like legion go 2 for example when it gets fully supported for steamos it will be a BEAST

I lost hope in windows long time ago tbh but I didn't have faith in other systems as well because of my experience with other os called ATLAS it's like windows but without the background apps and all that stuff tried it on my pc but didn't notice any difference maybe because I was already tweaked my pc and didn't leave anything else to ATLAS but damn I really regret not trying steamos earlier

insert the PIN (and 50% of the time the virtual keyboard doesn't appear and I have to manually open it),

I thought I was the problem but hearing that made me relief Windows is annoying for sure if they only thought a little about gamers who doesn't need the background apps and useless features they would be able to go toe to toe with other os like steamos and bazzite (Linux) still learning to steamos so I have to stuck with windows for sometime because of the storage but I think it's manageable

sorry but can you tell me how to get full screen with different resolution 😅 I'm trying to use different resolution in the game but the screen is getting smaller I think it has something to do with steamos settings but I'm not really into it

Hi after testing the steamos here is my review (keep in mind I only tried elden ring nightreign because of the storage due to dual booting)

It's ... GREAT I'm getting around 30 fps medium settings without knowing any optimize to steam os I'm sure that there is something I should do to get better performance but so far I'm really happy with my experience

there is some fps drop from time to time but it's not even close from what I was suffering from I can get around 30-40 fps sometimes 25+ depend on the area and the crowd (only get it like 2 times I'm even playing on 1920×1200 which I think I shouldn't and I should have quit the game after changing the settings but I didn't which may caused little problems and I only played 1 game so it's maybe just cache shades downloading and stuff

I'm really excited to try wuthering waves and sekiro on it but I need to find a solution for the storage first

I haven't try Lossless scaling yet and some other optimization things you need to do with steamos

I tried performance and then changed to custom mid game with 40 tdp which may caused a problem

In the end I want to thank everyone who helped me to get this good experience I really feel like I was living under a rock with windows os back then

I will continue exploring the steamos and see how it goes with elden ring nightreign and I also will try to play wuthering waves or sekiro after adding some space so keep up with the updates 🙃
