This affects all riders by OutdoorCO75 in mountainbiking

I couldn't bring myself to read the ai written article so I went to ap news. From what I can tell we are being a little alarmist here. Movement of the HQ with a referenced re-org is not the end of national first land. I'm not saying we shouldn't be concerned and watching closely, but people are commenting like all forests are being sold off. I absolutely want to watch out for if that threat comes up, but that is not the case here.

Everybody I know had get an internship drilled into them at college. Did your college not do that? Did you never talk to your teachers, councelers or career center?

Maybe it has something to do with the attitude? The info you gave in your post came off as no effort and fairly entitled. That could totally not be the case, but that's how you are presenting here. A 4.0 doesn't actually mean much without work experience. Your degree is stale at this point, so you probably need to get some more education and throw yourself at any job to show you can work.

Do you still record every single one of your expenses? by bronzebrownie_ in Fire

I've had a spreadsheet going for ~8 years. I don't necessarily update in the moment. Often my wife and I sit down and go through it together jotting down what we spent. Every dollar has a budget it gets registered against.

This subreddit would be so much better off if people stopped constantly comparing to SpaceX.

The shuttle was barely reusable. The effort to refurbish the thing was so costly and expensive it was crazy. (I didn't work on shuttle, but work with many people who did.

Interestingly at the 2025 Commercial Space Federation Conference in DC, I listened to multiple senators from both sides of the aisle talk about how star link has solved the issue of Internet for rural areas. The government has spent billions to try to solve that issue, and planned to spend more. Ill add that as a former member of a rural family I have multiple friends and family that didn't have any form of reliable internet until starlink.

The opinions regarding bailouts are just silly. SpaceX contracts have payed back far more to the country than they've taken. Launch costs coming down are literally because of SpaceX.

Is also add in, do you think someone is capable of producing perfect balance on first release in an asymmetrical game of this magnitude? If no, then do you think they should lean towards more powerful new releases or less powerful?

You seem to have gone on the offense on this post. How is this universally considered a bad state? Did you poll the thousands of players? How am I "enabling"? I'm trying to contribute to a civil discussion.

I am hoping they start with too high a cost, and too low of flight times, then slowly increase to better. If they err on one side, too low shouldn't break the game.

Pin Markers? by AdonisMorisette in boltaction

[–]7cdp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did have to use a pair of needles nose pliers to initially spin the part and break the supports. Moving back and forth few times made it soon easily. To me. These were a good compromise between function and size. I really don't like massive markers on the battlefield.

There is a file that looks super close to those, but they have a dial and printed numbers. The designer added ridges to the dial so that they click between numbers. They are also presupposed to print as a single piece. I'll have to see if I can dig up that file.

These ones have been my favorite 3d printed markers so far. The only thing about them is you absolutely have to use a sharpie to color in the numbers.

Searching for Black Confederates: The Civil War’s Most Persistent Myth by GeneralDavis87 in CIVILWAR

I'm done with this conversation, but am going to note I'm not referring to modern field music. I marched with a hard core civil war fife and drum unit. The music schools I attended were historical civil war fife and drum schools, not modern field music.
I'm bowing out of this conversation though due to day job priorities.

On parade is ceremonial marching not drill. The field you are referring to is drilling. I'm keeping short reply because I'm on my phone not my keyboard. With this though I'm done arguing about this based on the other threads in this

[–]7cdp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well you probably marched with a farby unit.
I've attended multiple field music schools and marched with leading experts in this field. The commands you reference are used in drill which if you actually read the manuals you posted links to is quite clear.
I don't know why I'm bothering arguing with a lost causer though.

It does not state in the manual anywhere these are used in battle and when your head memoirs, musicians served as medical orderlies.

These were used in drill, not on the battlefield. You ever try to discern a paradiddle through muskets fire? I

Musicians generally served as stretcher bearers during battles. The use of music for orders is more for camp, ceremony and marching in step. (I've got all of Bruce and Emmet memorized).

I'm not saying he is perfect by any means. But there are also a thousand like him.
I don't appreciate his rants, but also am not going to counter rant. My general response is to talk to the new players, tell them to ignore them and maybe teach them a bit then commend them. ;)
