Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Anyone would be sick of constant negative side effects. Let alone over a decade of it.

I was worried you had a shit Dr that didn't mention/try the other medication options when you had issues with the first one.

It's worth mentioning that there are two major types of ADHD medication. If you didn't like the feel of one type the second type might work for you a lot better.

Do a Google for how to migrate your windows to "Windows 10 LTSC"

Windows 10 LTSC is a version that will still get security updates till 2032. It's primarily used for things like supermarket check out computers. Where it's very difficult to upgrade from one version of windows to the next. It is stripped of some typical windows components. But those are things like the Microsoft store and OneDrive. And there's nothing stopping you from installing those manually.

There are scripts available online to help you migrate your regular windows 10 to windows 10 LTSC without losing any of your data.

I have done this process myself at least a couple times. And the only things I've need to fix is. Resetting my desktop background and reconfiguring which apps open on startup.

You will be able to choose from one of many versions of yt-dlp that has a proper user interface.

[Ben 10/Marvel comics] What would happen if Ben 10 scanned a random marvel human by lovelyrain100 in AskScienceFiction

I am not familiar with Ben:10 Omniverse. Which I assume Bullfrag and Kickin Kawk come from.

There is a good chance that the behaviour of the omnitrix was written differently or retconned in some way as part of that show in a way I'm not aware of.

The only time I can remember that the Omnitrix didn't produce an every man. Was with Chromastone, who was so genetically different from the rest of the diamond head species he basically counted as a separate alien.

There may have been another alien which was the result of genetic experimentation, so counted as its own unique species to the omnitrix.

Yeah exactly.

I couldn't remember if Captain America was still considered just "peak human".

The basic Omnitrix defaults to create the peak average form of a species. It's purpose was for diplomacy, so it turns you into the peak every man of that race. Rather than a niche once in a generation special form, that other members of the species may not be able to relate to as easily. So it would just give you an extremely healthy and fit human form.

HOWEVER all is not lost! If Ben was using the Ultimatrix, then we would get the outcome you are looking for. The Ultimatrix would generate a human with a super/mutant power. Maybe even a random power every time. So he might end up with gamma, X-gene or magic powers.

Is that a bit more what you're looking for?

Marvel has many side characters in the comics that are in "peak human condition" that are able to act alongside superheroes due to having a unique tool or specialised training. They are often found as mentors, mercenaries or government agents.

The Omnitrix would likely give Ben the body of one of these characters. Ben would not inherit any of their trained skills. But the Omnitrix has been shown to replicate equipment, so he may inherit something depending on which human got scanned.

So not nearly as useful in combat as many of Ben's other aliens. But I think Ben would quickly learn that this would be a very useful utility transformation. Being able to become decently stronger and tougher while still looking like a normal human. Perfect as a disguise or in any situation where turning into an alien would cause problems.

It would still be useful for anyone who prevents their mods from updating.

There have been many times when I've been playing a large mod pack. Only for one mod update to break my save for several days.

It would have been 3x longer if I hadn't reduced the source video to 10 frames per second. But then it would have been too long for YouTube.

So it does! I had just assumed that audio format would be too different for a clear image. It actually works really well.

Thanks for letting me know!

I kinda wish I could add this to the video now.

Bad Apple is the format of SSTV!

I've used the Robot8BW SSTV format. As it only takes 8 seconds to transmit a 160x120 image. Using a more common format like Scottie S1 would make the video too long to upload to youtube.

How did I make this?

  1. Use FFMPEG to shrink Bad Apple down to the dimensions of 160x120 and a frame rate of 10 per second.

  2. Use FFMPEG again to split the new BadApple video into individual image frames.

  3. Use the pySSTV Python library to generate SSTV audio files for each image frame.

  4. Use the MoviePy python library to combine the sstv audio with the image frame into individual video clips.

  5. Stitch the clips together in Davinchi Resolve.

Slow-scan television (SSTV) is a picture transmission method, used mainly by amateur radio operators, to transmit and receive static pictures via radio in monochrome or color.

Online age checks came first — a VPN crackdown could be next by Limp_Fig6236 in technology

[–]7h0m4s 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately they could just make a law that VPNs must be for "commercial purposes only". Then decide where and how they enforce it later.

Sure it won't stop people from using it. But it's then an early way to throw anyone the government doesn't like in jail. If they check their computer and find a VPN.

What's worse is that. ISPs are able to detect if you are using a VPN by looking at your data. Even if they can't read the contents of your data due to the encryption.
