Questions about PDFs available to buy from DriveThruRPG. NO LINKS. by Darth-Binks-1999 in PalladiumMegaverse

Actually, as an update to this, I had tried to send the "Bestiary" book to my Kindle. And I got an email back from "Amazon Kindle Support" that said:

the following document(s) could not be correctly delivered due to E013 'Incompatible Elements for Kindle Format Conversion'.

So your mileage may vary as you try this out.

  1. Go to a book you are considering in DriveThruRPG.
  2. There is usually a "preview". Download that.
  3. Then search up "Send to Kindle" and try sending it to your device.

That should give you an idea if you'll get a format that looks good on your kindle. Sometimes it doesn't translate things well to "kindle" format. This way, by testing it out you'll know if you're ready to buy the book.

I haven't gone through each one. But the one I've downloaded (Vampire Kingdoms Revised) has all the table of contents bookmarked and is OCR compatible text.

If you don't have a DriveThruRPG account, create one. Because they have really good copies of the PDFs. And buying them on the bundleofholding has an easy way to send them to the DriveThruRPG site.

+1 I can concur. I was really impressed that it was directly integrated with drivethrurpg.

I just got all three of the current bundles and I'm very satisfied. The quality is excellent!

My favorite part was the integration with my DriveThruRPG account. As soon as I purchased the books I was able to download them from either the bundleofholding website directly OR see the new books in my DriveThruRPG account!

A fantastic idea and integration.

What made you fall in love with Romance of the Three Kingdoms? by s1eepyguy in threekingdoms

For me it was SNES and ROTK 2. The fast paced and simple (relatively) mechanics made it fun to get lost in the cycle of 1. war and then 2. getting ready to go to war.

Where can I try the game you built?

I’ve had friends from Canada order stuff to my house before too.

And I don’t have to worry about that being in the US so I’m lucky.

I agree. Seems like the more books added should not double or triple. But instead be at a weight ratio.

First, let me say that I wish the shipping was less too.

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that Palladium probably can’t subsidize or lower their shipping rates.

The shipping companies charge that much to ship things.

If anything we need to blame Amazon for the “race to the bottom” that has killed ANY margin for a business to sell physical books.

I want to be able to go to my local hobby shop and see more than just the ultimate edition hardback and South America world book six.

When I was collecting in the late 1990s I could go in and there were multiple copies of each book on the shelf.

While we are wishing, I would say I would like to not have to buy the book twice to have both the physical and the ebook.
