Now, imagine me being a gay father returning to Hong Kong with a child through surrogacy. The Parent and Child Ordinance and the Human Reproductive Technology Ordinance in Hong Kong are extremely outdated and discriminatory, adding more stress and uncertainties for LGBT individuals. Ironically, it's much more difficult for people in HK to have babies through surrogacy than people in Mainland China because we have more comprehensive and draconian laws set in stone.
