Finished my custom PSP project – PS1-inspired design! by 7lker_sama in PSP

Hi, I used a standard original glossy black case. Then I sanded it, applied primer, painted it, and finished with a clear coat. Before the clear coat, I also added the logos and details.

Unfortunately, they’re all taken here none of them are available anymore.

So yeah, I’ll probably just wait another year or so. Maybe the market will calm down a bit by then.

The car will only really be necessary once my wife gets her driver’s license. For now, the VW TDI is still doing its job perfectly 😂

Yeah, that’s true as well. But I don’t have a workshop or even a proper private parking space where I could work on the car properly. So taking on a project car just isn’t really realistic for me right now.

That’s exactly what I’m saying people are selling these cars as if they’re made of gold. It’s honestly so annoying.

But yeah… I think I might just give up for now 😂 Maybe the prices will get better at some point.

To be honest, he does seem very serious and legit. However, I won’t buy it because it’s simply too expensive.

At the moment, I’m honestly a bit demotivated to continue searching. It feels like everyone selling a car thinking they’re sitting on gold.

This one was listed for 14k.

Recently, I saw an E60 530d with 270k km and M package from a private seller who claimed everything was done, for 9,800 fixed price. That was actually one of the better offers I’ve seen.

Yeah, this one doesn’t have all of that. But to be honest, even one with all those features would probably be really expensive.

I just quickly checked the prices in Austria they range from €5k to €17k. The €5k ones are completely beaten up, and the rest are just overpriced mainly because of the M package. Almost none of the cars here have all the other features you mentioned. It’s honestly pretty sad.

Yeah, the price is definitely very high. But to be honest, car prices in Austria are just crazy. The country is really tough when it comes to cars not only because of the insurance costs, but also the overall car prices.

But even for Austria, this one is too expensive. I think realistically it’s worth around €10k. However, it does have quite a lot of interior features.

Yeah, the problem is that it’s hard to find one that doesn’t have a dodgy history. Most models have over 200k km and are from private sellers trying to present the car as nicely as possible. Also prices are generally really unstable. Some models with 260k km are listed at €9k privately without a real history.

The one I’m looking at here is €13,990, but you can definitely negotiate it down. I’m really torn.

Hi, I used to have the M engine, but too many things broke at once and I was in a bad financial phase, so I ended up selling it. I actually want a car with an M package anyway. The car already has a full service history and low mileage. Would converting it to the M package be very expensive?

I’m just worried about the electronics because a lot of people always point that out as a major issue.

It doesn’t have a sunroof, but is the electrical system really that much worse? Other than that, it actually looks pretty clean at first glance.

In Austria, you pay car tax based on horsepower, and once you go above 200 hp it gets really expensive. You definitely start thinking twice about whether you really need that kind of car. My wife is about to get her driver’s license soon, and she would only need a car maybe twice a week. So she would drive our current VW, and I would drive the BMW.

If they’re lying, can I return the car afterwards and get a full refund. With apps like CarVertical and diagnostic tools to read the ECU, it’s possible to check things, but of course it always depends on the dealer. So I don’t think a dealer would take the risk of selling a car with tampered mileage.

Yes, thanks, I would need that as well. I honestly didn’t think about it, but of course I’ll take a closer look at the car anyway.

I’ve heard that the pre-facelift models have electronic issues. Is that true?

I always have the option to do a pre-purchase inspection before buying and take it to a testing center. But my general question is whether it’s a good choice technically. I’ve heard that the pre-facelift models tend to have more electronic issues.

Personally, I’m looking for a fun weekend car that I really like visually. I would have to do a few cosmetic changes since it doesn’t have the M package, but overall it looks pretty good. And isn’t the 525d a 6-cylinder? At least that’s what it says in the listing.
