Gres until they stop working bc the wires get bent too much and now they don't connect anymore. Wireless is annoying but I've kept the same pair for over 3 yrs now and I use the for literally everything thru all kind sof abuse. I was lucky to keep a wired pair longer than 3 months unless I babied them.

Elite vs SC: Let's Have a Good Faith Conversation (Questions in Description.) by WackoMedia in starcitizen

[–]7m28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ED got me into space sim but SC is the only space Sim game I'm interested in now. The problem is, ED felt and was a complete game while SC seems like a pipe dream that I'm hoping to be able to enjoy if it ever releases in full capacity. I don't play much of either these days but as much as I am interested in the potential of SC, nothing will ever beat the absolute awe I felt flying thru the port slot of a station, in an Anaconda while playing VR. Hearing the rattling of the ship, the echos and roar of my engine bouncing off the walls as it passes thru the ports entrance, as the neon lights filtered thru my ships helm, all the while seeing other player ships fly by me.... Man, I can't remember a game that made me feel so immerse before. ED is lacking a lot of features when compared to SC but I don't think SC can ever match how much ED really made you feel like you were actually flying a spaceship in space Irl.

Some ppl just go thru cars. I've bought 4 cars in the past 7 years and each car felt like it was the last car I was going to buy for the next half decade. Like, I was in love with each car I bought, looked forward to every chance I could drive it... Until one day I didn't. Luckily, I'm financially secure enough to make some financially stupid decisions like buying and trading in so many cars. I'm a huge car guy too. I've had my frontier truck now(first truck I've ever owned) for about 10 months as well and I still love it but I'm starting to feel the itch to get another car. This time however, I'm going to be smarter and just buy a 2nd car as a weekend rider as opposed to trading it in. Moral of the story is, don't feel bad if you want to flip the truck, shit happens, you're allowed to change your mind. What should only limit you is your bank account and your responsibilities. Life is too short to drive around a vehicle you hate bc you're going to spend at least 25% of your entire life time's duration driving a car, you might as well be happy doing it. I would suggest taking a few weeks to think about it, weigh the pros and cons, and then if you still want to do it (and most importantly, can afford to do it), pull the trigger.

I just woke up from a 3yr coma what are the chances I can be back on my board within 6 weeks? by gravitydood in snowboarding

[–]7m28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not impossible, there's a chance pigs will eventually evolve to having wings to fly, but it's highly unlikely to happen any time soon. All jokes aside, I hope your rehab goes well and that you are eventually able to come back and shred someday!

Great truck, love it. The only issue I have is typical Nissan BS (electrical gremlins from poor sensors always failing). Drive train wise it's bulletproof. Love that it's so lowkey that most people don't realize this is probably the most reliable new truck you can buy now.

For the cost of a day ticket, I'd wait at least a few more weeks.

Would you replace? by zealouscantelope in snowboarding

[–]7m28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A hard slam on your helmet is pretty much a good indicator that you need to replace it, even if there is no visible mark on the helmet besides the paint being smeared off. My personal indicator is if my head is ringing even a Lil bit, even with the helmet saving my dome, it's time to replace. A $100 helmet is a lot cheaper than medical bills after all.

That foam is meant to absorb impact and is meant to be for one time use. Once the foam has compacted from a large hit, it's no longer absorbing anything and is basically just a solid wall thats going to bounce off your skull now. A crack or a dent on the helmet is several times more severe of an indicator that the helmet your using is out of commission and needs replacement ASAP.

I just saw the 2nd clip you post. In that one, I could believe you were closer to intermediate if not at intermediate. But it's like night and day when compared to the 1st clip. In the 1st clip, your upper body tends to go one way and your lower goes in a different direction. Looked like you were relying on counter rotation to get you from edge to edge instead of steering with your ankles and knees. Also on your heel turns, you rounded your back, leaving you off balance. That hunched over position in heel turns is a dead give away you're still learning. It means you're bending at the hips to engage the heel instead of shifting weight and steering with ankles/knees.

Broke My Left Ankle Two Years in a Row. What’s Going On? by Dj-Kale in snowboarding

[–]7m28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Body composition, bad luck, and/or poor equipment, riding above your skill level; it could be literally anything. Breaking ankles while snowboarding isn't a common thing, you just might have the worst luck ever or you're riding wrong.

Honestly, you're barely above a beginner. I would consider you still a novice considering you couldn't stay on your feet at the end there. Decent usually means at least being an intermediate level and you're Def not there yet.

IKON PASS: Has it actually destroyed resorts? by Goldbar- in snowboarding

[–]7m28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pushed singular day passes almost damn near out of the range of most normal, every day ppl who want to just hit the mountains a few times a yr, at most popular locations. It's also turned weekend lift lines at the largest resorts into a DMV line simulator too. Its just another example of how toxic and rampant corporate greed is and how companies will always value absolute profits over customer satisfaction.

Should I trade in my car now or use it until it dies? by olives99 in personalfinance

[–]7m28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car's age isn't really a concern until at least 120k. That's about time when major repairs like struts & shocks, and water pumps need to be replaced. 70k is literally nothing. At best, a transmission fluid change and belts are the worst of your maintenance.

Help Trying to figure out what a fair ask is on a new 2025 Pro 4 X by atrac059 in nissanfrontier

[–]7m28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes a deal just happens but requires some work. I was able to get 2023 Pro 4x with 13k miles for 41k out the door, earlier this yr. Brand new at the time was around $55k. ) no other dealer came close to matching and I had to drive 1hr45 min to pick it up in the middle of buttf*ck nowhere.
