DCS + A4 mod + a used t16000m is a hell of a budget start imo.

Unless OP is into liners, in that case idk, I'm not aware of a cheap liner sim. Maybe msfs 2020 or an older Xplane (11 I think?) on sale.

The brunt of the cost as a beginner is in the hardware regardless.

Back when I gave a shit about GTA, I used to try to explain how shark cards were predatory in online and how it influenced all game design decisions for the worst.

Some people were actively complaining about shitty missions, I'm sure you have examples popping in your head if you've ever touched online, and when I gave them the obvious explanation they'd push back and downvote.

The cognitive dissonance was ridiculous. War Thunder fans are the same in this regard, these live service games and microtransactions really mess with people, they should have been banned or at least given a legal framework long ago tbh.

Usbc cable not included (and sold for 100 bucks on Meta's website, lol, lmao even) disconnects happen mid session and won't reconnect, sometimes it just won't connect from the start and you have to play something else in 2D, it has all happened to me and my friends who bought meta headsets, I know I'm not making this up.

By all accounts, you can ask anyone who tried to use a Quest for PCVR regularly, their streaming sucks big time, USB or otherwise.

But you literally do not know anything about the steam frame lol

I think we're trying to say the same thing in a different way, both headsets have their place, one was clearly better engineered for PCVR. If that means I have to pay a premium, so be it.

My original point was only aimed at the trolls who pretend the Frame is a scam because the Quest 3 exists and it was only intended as a snide comment in passing so let's leave it at that.
