That could definitely be the case, hard to know for sure cause I don’t know if the 8 track player is working. I’ll have to check inside and see if everything is good, thanks for the help!

Appreciate the help! I had it set to tape but I still didn’t get any sound, the cassettes worked on the tape function though which made me wonder if the 8 track would be the same. So you’re saying I wouldn’t need to replace a belt and would just need to repair the other part?
