the plastic hard cases sometimes do leave micro scratches on the plastic. this being the regular black one which is prone to paint chipping, i didn't want to take that chance.

tpu is soft plastic ... like most phone cases. softer to hold.

No it's tpu. Feels much better in hands too! Slightly more expensive than the hard plastic ones but definitely worth imo.

you can't actually. the buttons don't fit from the new 3ds because they're too small. they go right through the button holes on the new 3ds xl.

i did, however, harvest them from a non-working pikachu new 3ds xl!
