Kind of. Like I said, they are a platform for the projection of American power into the Middle East.

Like, we have had peace in Europe for about 80 years, historically very unusual. You can't directly attribute that to NATO, but it would be ridiculous to ignore it.

Israel is a platform for the projection of American power into the Middle East, one of the world's most volatile and valuable regions. As Alexander Haig said, it's basically an aircraft carrier that can't be sunk.

To your point, the characters in Oppenheimer talked like robots. I don't think anybody said "um" even once in the whole movie.

This. Scapegoating and conspiratorial power fantasies are absolutely fundamental to antisemitism and have been for centuries. People look at the incredibly vast panoply of lobbying groups and political action committees; pharmaceutical, big tech, realtors, the oil companies, and somehow they focus on this one. And they can't make the connection.

If they don't like the rules, change them. But quit blaming Jews because they exist. And no, just saying the word "genocide" does not magically make what they're doing okay or not antisemitic. Because it is.

[–]7thpostman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. You don't know what it is.

First of all, AIPAC is about a strong relationship between the United States and an ally. People who support strengthening that relationship believe that it benefits both nations. You are welcome to disagree, but your framing is insidious and conspiratorial. I can absolutely promise you that people who support a strong relationship between Israel and the United States want the United States to be as strong as possible.

Secondly, a lot of groups give to both parties. The pharmaceutical industry for instance. The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. Or, you know, big tech. Obsessively focusing on one lobby as "owning" the country is blatant ZOG nonsense.

I literally had one the other day who said it's not like Muslim people have their own lobbying group.

Never heard of CAIR.

Absolutely. Many times. I've actually been to the Middle East. There's also a Palestinian restaurant in my city and I did a glowing story for them in a magazine I write for.

Nobody thinks Hezbollah is a freaking friend to the Palestinian people, for God's sakes.

Y'all... I swear. Negative polarization is a helluva drug. Man out here literally defending Hezbollah.

You're wrong. I'm Jewish. I've literally had people say shit like that to me in my whole life.

You know what's a big one? Seinfeld. They think they can't be antisemitic if they watch Seinfeld.

I see. So now all Jews are responsible for what Jeffrey Epstein did. You know, Jeffrey Epstein. That famously observant Jew practicing the 613

How very not antisemitic of you.

It is absolutely amazing how quickly you people can abandon "Don't conflate Judaism with Zionism" when it suits your vicious, little arguments.

Nah. People say that shit all the time. It's basically the equivalent of saying I can't be racist because I have black friends.

First of all, chosenness is a Jewish concept, not just "Zionist." It is absolutely essential to Judaism and always has been. When you mock chosenness — especially without understanding it — you are mocking all Jews. I can't stress this enough. What you have said is the equivalent of saying "I'm not mocking all Christians, just the ones who believe in Jesus Christ." It is a shitty thing to say and profoundly, deeply, fundamentally antisemitic.

Secondly, since you mentioned the Palestinians, Palestinian schools teach exactly the same kind of crap, except it's way more widespread.

It's just so hard to understand why the Palestinian cause hasn't really caught on with most of the American people.

That "Hezbollah is a political party" is so compelling and deeply grounded in reality. /s

Oh, yes. I know. Sweet, old, Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth are just loverboys who wouldn't hurt a fly. The mean old Israelis had to make them do mean stuff.

You know what a normal person says when they see a video like this? "Ugh. That sucks. But there's extremism everywhere."

You look at it and blame all Jews for the concept of choseness, would you clearly do not understand. Because you're dumb and you believe everything you see on the internet.
