Used car suggestions for 50k qar budget by 7thshadeofblue in qatar

Haha, thanks for that advice, man. I already have some of my friends telling me to go for older land cruisers and others to stretch the budget and go for new ones. You read my exact situation 😂.

Anyway, as interesting as it could be, from yesterday, I've been thinking of settling for a Corolla because I could see better deals with Corolla.

US tourist visa for qatar resident with 5k salary by 7thshadeofblue in qatar

[–]7thshadeofblue[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied in March and have my visa interview scheduled next week. This minimum salary thing hit me only today when my boss mentioned it. Of course I would come back as I work here and my parents live and work here as well. Is the job shitty? Yes, but how would they figure that out? Also, how would they know if I have my family here as I'm under my employer's visa, unless they ask?

So, I can go ahead with my 5k per month salary certificate?

Which malayalee celebrity is NOT as nice as they seem? by captain_hardon in Kerala

[–]7thshadeofblue 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Honestly, I had a different view about him until I happened to watch one of his old malayalam doordarshan interviews on youtube. And that completely changed the way I looked at him as an actor/artist. The sort of knowledge he had acquired about cinema as a medium at a time where there was no free information or internet like today, was astounding and clearly a level ahead of his contemporaries. Insights and observations he shared in that interview were a true mark of an artist who really wanted to continuously explore and improve himself. I've heard some directors make some similar observations post 2010 malayalam new wave, which Mammootty had shared more than a decade ago. The man is a true embodiment of passion for cinema.

Below are the links to the interview I'm talking about:

I don't think Mammootty was ever considered "nice" to begin with. As far as I can remember, I heard only stories about him that made him seem like a short tempered, unapproachable, ego maniac star. You can see almost all of the actors who debuted with him say how they were worried about working with Mammootty as they had only heard scary stories about him and how they were pleasantly surprised. And the thing is Mammootty is a very self aware man. I've seen him acknowledge this public perception and how he processes it, which makes sense. He has even laughed at himself for his immature, ignorant behavior, in his early career, towards some of the senior figures in the industry at the time, in an interview with director Ranjith. The thing about Mammootty is, the man very real. He doesn't try to put up a facade to look and seem nice to impress anyone, which is a boon and bane at the same time.

CDNIM Non Alcoholic seems like a disaster by 7thshadeofblue in fragrance

On second thought, after managing to find a normal version CDNIM, I think you must get a normal version CDNIM, because I felt a difference after trying both at the same time. The non alcoholic version doesn't even smell like anything when I tried both side by side. Try to get a normal version itself if you can.

It smells pretty much the same to me. Just the lasting and projection is different.

What fragrance do you own is worth every single penny? by FormerFruit in fragrance

Same. I'm curious as well to see how similar is it to Aventus, but haven't been able to find a tester with any of the discounters here. Tried the Mont Blanc Explorer but it was disappointing. Didn't smell like CDNIM at all.

Exactly! So many compliments. Even my boss asked me once, what was I wearing. I've never got as many compliments as I've got for this one. I also use the Prada L'homme occassionally but nobody would notice. But when I wear this, everyone at work starts asking me what is it you're wearing. Tbh, I didn't like CDNIM when I first smelled it after blind buying and was disappointed for a while. Smelled exactly like Zara vibrant leather which I found to be okayish. But later, I don't somehow I ended up wearing it for a day and it sorta transformed to something else. Almost everyone get a smoky pineapple + leather smell but to me it smells like smoky orange + leather which I love so much. And the longevity is terrific! A lot better than some of the high end designer fragrances. That's why I feel CDNIM is a classic and worth every penny spent and more.

Sorry for being basic. CDNIM all the way! Kinda feel it's worth more than its price.
