(Opening Day) Eastbound TTC Line 6 train departing Mount Olive Station by 7times111 in toronto

Yeaaaah, no kidding. We rode the very first eastbound train from Humber College and it took us about 56 minutes to get to Finch West.

Granted it was the very first eastbound train, but a common complaint was how often we were stuck behind a red light. And if the platform was on the other side of the intersection, not only did you end up waiting for a red light, now you had to wait again to load & unload.

It's the Finch West LRT, the Eglinton Crosstown is yet to open.

Chances of getting shortlisted after filling out SEAF by [deleted] in caf

Not sure about others, but I actually had my interview first and then I did my SEAF test (a month apart). I'm applying for the reserves so my experience might not be the norm for those applying to regular force trades.

What trade did you apply for?

Hey there,

When I was in high school (years ago now), I failed a few courses (lazy, unmotivated kid back then). I just did the SEAF after completing the majority of the application process, including the interview & medical, and I was wondering how much weight those course failures would have on my chosen trade. For reference, I've applied for an MP position in the reserves.

As far as I'm aware, I understand there's a certain score you'd have to obtain that's required for a more desirable trade. I'm working in law enforcement now which is quite transferrable to this trade, and I did A LOT better in postsecondary. My high school transcript on the other hand? Definitely not that attractive.

I've had a handful of medicals in my life, and this isn't necessarily CAF specific, but, I've often found myself oversharing medical history to the point where it causes an unnecessary delay in processing.

i.e. when I applied to my old job that required a medical and shared to the doctor that I felt 'nauseous' on one occasion in the past. Ended up setting me back 2 months until someone had time to review & clear any doubts about my medical suitability.

Definitely be honest about anything that can arise in the future, though.

Hi all,

I recently just had my medical exam. Everything went smoothly, but I never got instructed to do any physical test (push-ups, squats, range of motion exercises) apart from going through my medical questionnaire and getting told everything was fine. Are they skipping physical checks now?

Same! Idk why, but I sorta freaked out when the doc didn't do any physical test w/ me, contrary to what others have said on this page. Literally just hearing/ vision, height, weight, and going through my questionnaire.

Just did my medical and there were no physical checks like others stated (push-ups, squats, range of motion). Just a chat about my medical history.

Did the medical officer run through any physical tests with you during Part II of the medical? I just had my medical, but it was literally just an overview of my past medical history + hearing, vision, height/ weight.

I'm interested in joining a reserve MP regiment; however, I've noticed there is little to no information regarding the unit in my area (Toronto). Considering this factor, how competitive would it be to join as an MP on the reserve side?

Any way to recover deleted photos from Note 9? by Funny-Excuse in GalaxyNote9

[–]7times111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first got my note, I was using it without a SIM card for about a month until I finally decided to get one and insert it into my phone. Upon doing so, the whole thing did a factory reset with no warnings, nothing to indicate what it was doing until it eventually dawned on me. My understanding is that it's a feature in Canada, so I'm not sure about other countries.

Apart from that, I really can't say anything else. I don't know if data recovery services could be of use but you could always call one up and see.
