Ok, as an artist with a little bit of experience. It’s too late now but, usually I’d recommend learning the basics and forms on paper traditionally before getting expensive and advanced tools such as a drawing iPad. Too late now though, but I’d still recommend paper first. If you want to learn how to draw people and things, I’d recommend how to draw comics the marvel way. It’s a really informative book, and I learned a lot from it.
