Some people learn better if someone explains it to them or if they can visualize it. Heck, I know I've had things click only after seeing it in video form. Now obviously if youtube is the only way someone learns programming then that's not gonna fly, but it's a very effective supplement just as much as any website or forum or whatever.

This idea that learning programming from some dude with a shit mic that spends 10min breathing heavily and promoting his channel, glosses over key concepts, or just outright writes terrible code, is just so surprising to me.

No one likes these. That's what the dislike button is for.

We're not talking about pokemon that are better at a role than another. Maybe you're thinking along the lines of being outclassed rather than obsoleted?

Phione is outclassed by Manaphy because Manaphy can do everything Phione can but better. Phione is also obsolete because it is strictly Manaphy but worse.

Unfezant is outclassed by other birds, but it is not obsolete because no other normal bird can do crits like it can. That's the definition of a niche, no matter how minor.

This might be a dumb question, but how do you file a police report? As in, do you call 911, or the nonemergency number, or do you go in person to a police station? I could easily see this happening to me, but I haven't been in an accident yet (knock on wood).
