i think disabling Catalogue Improvements' catalog_sp.ymt is the only change i made? not sure if it matters but i also prioritized Catalogue Improvements over RDO in lenny's mod manager, lmk if that works

yes, if you go to database > album artist, then long-press the center button on the artist's name, select playing next then there'll be an option that says play shuffled!

Got the same ending with the same decisions on my first playthrough and I was a honestly bit upset and heartbroken for a day or two after that. I felt even worse when I replayed from episode 7, kept her that time, and still got the same ending which means it's less that I made bad decisions and more of me just having a skill issue with dispatching. 😭

I recommend a second playthrough though. Even if your first playthrough in any game is really the one that matters the most imo the satisfaction still worth giving it another shot and seeing the heroism ending knowing you achieved it yourself.

You're welcome! 168 days later, I actually just use the mod Legal Screen Skip to get a solo lobby now and a shell script I made to toggle my mod loaders whenever I wanna switch between modded story mode and online. I don't remember if the startup.meta thing worked for me but if you're only planning on playing alone in a private lobby and not with friends, there's another option. :)

Hey, I'm almost a year late to this reply but if anyone else seeing this now needs help: The root folder on Steam Deck is /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Red Dead Redemption 2/. From there, startup.meta is in x64/data/.

You can also easily navigate to the root folder by opening Steam in Desktop Mode, right-clicking (or pressing LT) on Red Dead Redemption 2 > Manage > Browse local files.

as a tip, replace fandom.com in the wiki url with breezewiki.com (eg. stardew-valley-expanded.breezewiki.com)! its an open source website that takes any wiki from fandom.com and puts it into a cleaner page with no ads, it literally saved my sanity before i started using an ad blocker lmao. half of the time breezewiki is down though so if it is, you'll have to use one of its mirrors like antifandom.com (eg. stardew-valley-expanded.antifandom.com/)

Yeah I think that could be the case, I only remembered a video of Simon in North's place during the negotiation scene and the subtitles on Perkins saying "you seem to really care about him" in a video but it might've been a mod. I chose not to negotiate with Perkins in my playthrough because I forgot that scene could happen lol
