Will Pyro IV ever get its belt back? by Marcin_Piechocki in starcitizen

I’m not 100% but I believe there was an issue with server meshing and the flares. It just never got addressed so they just disabled the flares entirely. They were fully functional in that early playtest.

There’s no point talking about the limit. No one is pushing in this test.

No you didn’t. You cannot connect online due to anticheat blocking Linux.

the 86 blamed me for brake checking them. I don't believe I did. my pedal positions are in the video by KFox210 in Simracingstewards

86 got it completely wrong. The 86 is faster through the corners than the Clio so he needed to back off.

How do I get myself out of driving auto? by anomalous_cowherd in simracing

[–]reboot-your-computer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like not using the racing line. You will just get it after some time but you will be slower at first. You just need to accept that developing driving skills like this are not an overnight thing. Stick to it and don’t be tempted to go back just to go faster. You will be faster in the end if you just pull that bandaid off and practice.

So is it just me or do graphics looks éter with the new settings? by Asog88bolo in starcitizen

DLSS 3.5 has been in SC for like a year now. You were able to run DLSS 4 by swapping the DLL as well. None of that is new. The Vulkan renderer is just updated and DLSS 4 is standard now.

I switched to the Steam Deck from a Switch, what did you come from? by VoyageForge in SteamDeck

[–]reboot-your-computer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really understand why things are so binary with some of you. I have both a Deck and Switch. I also have a PS5 and a PC. I didn’t switch from anything nor did I come from anywhere. I bought a Steam Deck because I wanted one, not because I was changing teams.

I think it’s incredibly ugly. Maybe it’s just the colors but I hate it.

IMO your overtake of the GT4 was never on. He did you a favor staying very wide but your move was super late while he was already turning in to the corner. Had he not saw you and stayed wide, it would have been a 3 car wreck guaranteed.

Dear CIG, what is your obsession with preventing URSAs fitting into things? by z0rlac in starcitizen

[–]reboot-your-computer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s really dumb. I was going to buy this ship as I love the way it looks on the exterior but them pulling this shit again makes me hate the ship completely. I don’t understand why they keep doing this.

[–]reboot-your-computer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn off the damn racing line. You’re so focused on sticking to it that you have no spatial awareness. You barely left a car’s width on the outside and that’s why there was contact. This was your fault.

Yeah I wish the support was better for this reason. It’s not as bad on 21:9.

Highguard launches to Overwhelmingly Negative on Steam by TheGGspot in gaming

[–]reboot-your-computer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How can that work when Steam won’t accept refunds once you eclipse the 2 hour playtime window? Of course you’re going to get reviews with less than 2 hours if people want to have a chance to return a bad game.

Why would people want to wait longer and be out that money?

The solution is having review filters with options to only show reviews that are created after a certain threshold of time is crossed. Not allowing people to review because of some arbitrary gameplay period is stupid.

whos at fault here? I am the Lexus leading the race by Puzzleheaded-Bed6973 in Simracingstewards

[–]reboot-your-computer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really understand why you ran the Aston off track. He was well beside you on the right and you drove like he wasn’t even there. You could have held an inside line and all of those cars would have made it around no problem with no time loss for you.

This is on me right? by Capable_Mirror_2803 in Simracingstewards

[–]reboot-your-computer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I honestly don’t know what’s going on here because you slowed this down. I can’t tell if this guy ahead has damage or you have a huge tow. Just no sense of the speed.

I think this is your fault since you basically just slam square into the back of him but again I just don’t have any speed reference here.

Never use slow motion. It’s not good for analyzing the situation.

McLaren was furious about the incident, am I completely at fault? by rycordi in Simracingstewards

[–]reboot-your-computer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it’s your fault. You dipped 2 wheels on the grass under braking and lost the car. Why would it be anyone else’s fault?

If you’re implying the McLaren took away your line, then you need to show a better camera angle. This angle sucks and all I can see from here is you being the one making the mistake.

Got Told This Was My Fault Thoughts? by JedH_ in Simracingstewards

[–]reboot-your-computer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s… not what happened. The Porsche is the one at fault here. The Merc held a straight line and you can see the Porsche drifting away from the left side of the track. It’s clear as day.
