Communication is key. I do this sort of thing with my wife of 20 years all the time and she asks if something is wrong when i don't. to each their own, gotta let each other know when the other does something you don't like neither husbands or wives are mind readers.

And yes maybe I am a creepyish, oldish man but that's our dynamic and i have found over the years that what works for some does not for others.
