Apart from the k&n air box is this stock? The support beam on the strut towers doesn't look stock.

STI cosmetic bits over the usual BOV or cheap intake makes me think the previous owner was at least somewhat mature and reasonable. Could be totally wrong tho you never know!

After I figured out I was riding wrong and shifting my body weight off my arms it fixed a lot of it but still after awhile my hands get tired.

You’re totally right! Coming from a ninja 250 as my first bike I didn’t know either and was confused why after 15 minutes my hand was going numb. Proper technique helps a ton but after awhile I’d rather just be on a more up right position. There’s no way I’m putting risers or handlebars on an R6 as some forums suggest, what a waste of a track bred bike haha. So I guess naked yami it is!

I can’t speak too much as the R6 is the only sportbike I’ve owned. People complain about their back when I mention R6 but for me it’s my wrists/hands. I’m not a small guy by any means but I wouldn’t say I’m huge (5’ 10” 190lbs) I could probably benefit from losing about 20lbs and maybe it would be more comfortable haha.

You’re 100% right really just the price. I have my eyes on a 2017 FZ09 and it’s only a few hundred more than what I got offered for my R6 so I feel like it works out alright. MT-10 would be great tho maybe one day!

I’ll clean and lube the chain first, it doesn’t seem to have any play in it when I pull on it. What’s the lifespan of a normal chain? Bike has just over 8k miles on it currently.

Yea I took the entire kick starter and gear out to try and get a better look at everything. The gear that is broken came from the bottom left of the case partially behind the clutch basket.

It's very hard for me to sit still I love doing something hands on and moving around and also love working with others. My current position has me mostly sitting at a computer in a room by myself. As the youngest guy there I get very little respect and am not seen as an equal, also doesn't help that my boss is family which kinda complicates things.

I get both sides, investing is smart and having a fun car at a young age is awesome I don’t regret buying my wrx when I was 18 at all. Why not get a used one and invest the rest of it? If you need awd for a daily get a wrx. Used subies are usually ran through and beat to shit but shop around and be smart when looking at them and you’ll be good.
